Well, today was my first day of my Junior year, at my new school. It seems like an easy year. The second semester I have all electives, but Science. I can't wait untill Saturday, when we begin our football season. This is what keeps me going to school, and we are supposed to be one of the top teams in Western NY(not to brag, but we are one of the teams with a richer history ). Anywho, to celebrate, what are some of you favorite/best/worst school stories?
Wow.... School actually energized me today. Must've been the weather and all those perky breasts everywhere.
It's my junior year also. I am no where near the enthusiasm I had last year either. The only good thing about school is the rockets are going to start playing.
I forgot to mention that I didn't know my way around the school, because I had never been in it. It is a huge school(4 stories), and I couldn't find my first period class. I was late by like 5 minutes.
I've been to school a few weeks now. It sucks but at least it is better than usual. I'm a junior and since I got my Spanish done I have more chances for computer classes. 2 classes I like are webmastering and cisco. We haven't done much yet in webmastering but we should work with dreamweaver whenever we get it. Cisco has been really different than what I expected. I expected slowly learning the parts of the computer and learning the different wires and stuff, but we've been working big time. We basically help out our network and technology administrator. We got a lot of pregnant girls. We're a small school, about maybe 50-60 people in each grade and that may be overexaggerating, but there are like 5 or 6 girls who look pretty..um..pregnant. May be common somewhere else, but I hardly see any girls pregnant, let alone that many. One cool thing is that at the moment I get to lead the basketball guys in athletics. Me and this senior are the "leaders" so we have to set a good example for everyone, but I think I am the only one doing it. Kind of hard because I'm not the leader type. But when footballs over, I'll probably have to move over and give it up to some seniors. Oh, and anyone cares, my school sucks at most sports, mostly football. Lost 45-0 in the opening game but they did get to scrimmage in the Alamodome the week before. Also, our band has gone from 8, last year, to like 38 since the long-time band directors are back. (last year, the school had someone else doing it. I guess we're pretty loyal.) I kind of went overboard. Too much stuff I could talk about. edit: Oh yeah, one thing that sucks is that I got 3 out of 7 classes in the Jr. High school since I guess they don't have room in the high school. The two school are less than 100 ft from each other, but I don't like being around kids that I can't see. Not to mention my webmastering class actually HAS jr. high kids. We're supposed to help them.
If you think YOUR football team sucks... My school is one of three 'new' schools (actually the one I am at is the old one, while 2 beand new ones were created). Btw, there are 9 white people out of 650. 6 of them seniors (including me). I was zoned for the new one, but decided on this one because it's closer. Yeah, that's it. Or maybe it was the fact that I can be editor of the paper... Well anyway, we lost our hom opener to the number 3 team in the state 56-0. Great defense. The other new school is supposed to be featured on ESPN College Gameday this week, and not because they're good or anything (However they did actually win their first game). The name of the school is 'Bryant High', named after Paul Bryant, so apparently Bryant, Jr. is getting a film crew over to that school. Anyway, I have quite a year as I don't know where I want to apply for college, and I'm ready to get the hell outta here.
Its my senior year!!! If you wanna talk about a ****ty football team, look no further than my high school. My high school football team hasnt had a winning football season in years, a long time ago we had 2 high schools in our city, Fairmont East and Fairmont West(this was a long time ago when my mom was in high school), it was the biggest game, and both teams were power houses, then awhile back they put the two schools together(again was together a long time before i got to HS) to become one. Everyone thought that Fairmont would be unbeatable now since they were together, its the complete opposite, just a few minor changes in coaching jobs and now our school is ****ty in just about every sport and we are a D-I school. I played basketball up till last year then i decided i was going to quit because the playing time i would get this year would be slim to none and i didnt wanna put the dedication into it. Our varsity team last year won 3 games and those were non-leauge games, were like against D-III schools. (I wasnt on varsity but was on JV and we did pretty well) Thats a lot, but i am bored so i felt like typing it out. Edit: Oh ya our varisty football team won 3 games last year
I'm actually going crazy because I don't have school to go to. I've spent the last year or so getting another Bachelors degree, and now I've finished and don't know what to do with myself. It just feels so odd to not have school to go to. But I do get to live vicariously through my kids, one of whom started high school this fall. I don't know if his high school football team sucks and/or blows, but I do know their mascot (the Raiders of Randall High School) isn't nearly as cool as mine was (The Golden Sandstorm of Amarillo High School).
yes, school sucks. bad. i've managed to skip most of my classes so far. good for me. the only thing that gets me through sometimes is knowing that just by walking through campus, i'll be bombarded by more hot girls than you could even imagine. this years freshman class is especially impressive. yum.
Amen. School sucks. Its my second semester as a senior at UT. I cant wait to get the heck out of here! I'm bored with school. I'm just burnt out on the whole idea of cramming all sorts of crap into your head that you are gonna forget right after the test anyway. But yeah, I skipped one class so far out of 10 that have been held so far. I guess that isnt so bad... right? Eh oh well. If UT is gonna screw me in every way possible, I'm gonna need a break here and there. Might as well get started on that.
So where's Wendy going to college? Nah, I'm not that obsessed; I know the 'Summer of Sam' is coming...

Not if you invited me. But I dunno....Austin??? I think I'll stalk, uhh, I mean stick to big cities. Thanks though.
Austin is a big city. It's one of the top 20 cities in America as far as population goes. Just cuz it only takes 15 minutes to get from one edge of town to the other doesnt mean crap. Back in Houston, I have to drive half an hour in town on 290 just to get to the REAL city limits! But really, I like the traffic in Houston much more than Austin. Austin is just more convenient because nothing is too far away.
Tell me about it....so much reading to do already and i have only been in school for 3 days... I hate internet classes...I gotta get started...I cant fall behind already.
English Essays are due... Computer Documents Need to be edited and printed... I now know way too much about the Panic of 1837 and the strong willed-ness of Alexander Hamilton, and It turns out in Math class I sit right next to a Guy who happens to work with the girl I have spent all summer trying to forget... and he likes her and wants to get every detail from me about her... OH HAPPY ****ING DAY... at least the Freshman 15 is going in reverse for me since I cut out all sugar drinks. and my earliest class is 4:30 in the afternoon so I sleep all day and play madden.
this is my senior year at UT and i'm liking school so far b/c not much has happened yet. i only have 4 classes, two on each day, and actually one of the mwf classes doesn't hold class on friday and doesn't even hold class in november. of course it is our main ChE class, plant design, and will still be tough and you spend most of november doing the big huge project to see if you actually know anything about ChE or not. i've already skipped two classes and will be skipping finance on friday again (and probably most of the semester). got to go see us tear up new mexico state. hung out with friends i hadn't seen all summer. have gregory gym available any time i want. have been playing ncaa 2k4 like crazy and just started my dynasty. it should be a nice semester. and the one after it should be even easier.
