Here's the creepiest thing thats ever happened to me: A couple years back I went on a little trip to Lake Travis in Austin with some buddies of mine. My parents had a friend who could let us borrow her summer cabin for the weekend, just as long as we didn't mess anything up. This lady also gave us this weird warning, something along the lines of "when the lights go out so does the boat." Of course we didnt care; thoughts of spending a couple days full of drinkin and partying engulfed our minds completely. So anway later that weekend, after a long Saturday night of mischief, we decided to hit the hay. My chum Pete, in his drunken state, went down to the lake to take a wizz before heading off for bed. Only 10 minutes later he burst into the cabin, locked the door, and started explaining what happened. Seems as though while he was answering the call of nature he had heard a steady "splish-splash" in the still waters of the lake. As he looked up he saw a figure in a rowboat. The guy noticed Pete, i guess and pointed straight at him. So of course Pete was piss scared and ran back like a baby. We didnt really mind all this until later, when somebody heard a noise on the porch. Somebody was in our house. I fumbled for the light, and when my eyes adjusted, i saw a man in a long yellow slicker standing in the middle of our cabin. He pointed at me, and now I was just about to pass the freak out, when the lights went out again. My pals were yellin and causing a lot of hullabaloo, and somebody thought to turn on a light. Nobody was there. How about yall, whats your scariest moment?
Damn, if that was me I would have gotten the hell away somehow. Nothing scary since my Ghost story thread a few months ago.
Ninja, Were you able to go to sleep that night? I would have been so spooked that I wouldn't have been able to concentrate let alone sleep!
I had this dream once that TheFreak never posted about anything other than Houston being stupid for trading Olajuwon and claiming to everyone else's laughter that he was the lone voice of objectivism on this board.
Ninja Sauce X: I read your post last night and got goose bumps the size of nickels. I read it again this morning and got goose bumps the size of dimes. The daylight didn't help much! I grew up in a haunted house. We had many, many weird and inexplicable events go on. We even had one sighting; I'm glad it wasn't me... Here's a new one. My father passed away at the end of June. I talked to my mother on Saturday. She tells me that she woke up on Saturday morning to find HIS wedding ring outside of instead of inside of her jewelry box only six feet away from her bed. On top of that, during the night her intruder alarm went off-- twice.
