I got a post card in the mail that read: You did not pickup your parcel-no. XXXXXXX. This is our 2nd attempt to reach you. Please call me immediately at 281-397-9400 between 10-8 m-f or sat 10-2. GSN/Parcel Service I did a reverse lookup of the phone number and it comes back to GSN located off on 1960 which is a long way from where I live. Any idea what kind of scam this might be?
On your postcard, above your name, are there any letters like AUTO-CR? I suspect it is a time share type of thing.
A google search of GSN/Parcel comes up with this site: http://www.mikedaddy.com/archives/2006/04/gsnparcel_servi.html And this blog entry: I can't find anything else, but obviously if you're not expecting a package then common sense says that this is some kind of scam.
ok, how the hell does that happen? who would go to try to pick up a package and have $3000 on them? and if you do get conned out of $3000 with something like this, well, i've a beta business you might be interested in.
go pick up your parcel! there is a huge shipment of gold and lucky charms that has been sent from Nigeria to you.
I figured it was a scam but wondered just what kind it is. I can't see going and being talked into giving someone $3000.
