I am completely shocked...I was sure that a Francis/Marbury backcourt would work.

As Dan Patrick on Letterman said lastnight..."Thomas is the President, GM, and Coach of the Knicks," is he going to fire himself 3 different times? Having one person in all 3 positions is ridiculous, no wonder the Knicks are that bad.

The Knicks are horrible on so many levels, it's mind boggling. Offense, defense, rebounding, passing, leadership, coaching. You name it, and the Knicks suck at it. Anybody that seriously thought a Marbury/Francis backcourt would work together doesn't deserve to coach in the NBA. Even if they do manage to squeak out an 8th seed in a really bad East, they'll just get cornholed in the first round by Cleveland and be stuck with the same pathetic squad, same pathetic coach, and a mid first round pick.

Out of Francis, Marbury, and Crawford, the Knicks need to seriously start thinking about trading two of them for expiring contracts and dive into the Gred Oden sweepstakes

Never get tire of hearing this proclamation.

"I can't compare myself to somebody when I already think I'm the best. I'm telling you what it is. I know I'm the best point guard in the NBA," said Marbury in 2005

Their "dive" (i.e, draft pick) into the Greg Oden sweepstakes belongs to the Bulls because of the Eddie Curry trade. They should trade Francis and/or Marbury and keep Crawford.

Because he's getting paid more than the max for players while sitting on his couch. It's unbelievable how bad the Knicks are, they had to buy out terrible contracts in Rose, MoT, and Brown all in one summer.

The funny part is they're being replaced by Nate Robinson, whose got a scorer's mentality trapped in a 5-7 body.

Didn't they trade away their 1st round pick in 2007 when they got Curry?

They traded both their 2006 & 2007 first round picks for Curry. Neither were lottery protected! One pick turned out to be Tyrus Thomas. We'll see in 2007.

I think the 07 pick is condition, which means the Bulls can swap their pick with the Knicks if they wanted to.

Oh, I'll venture to guess that the Bulls will want to swap that pick.

Remember when we all argued that Steve was better than Starbury?

Geez, Francis really screwed up big time. If he'd have worked better with JVG, he might still be here. But Francis was a pre madonna, he just had to go to the Super Bowl.

I will always check the box score to see how Francis is doing. He and Mobley alowed us to dream after the Dream was becoming unproductive.

I hope that Francis gets traded to a team that he can help.

OMG, I had no idea that New York traded two first round picks away. Wasn't the Stepian Rule created so teams could avoid stupidity like that?
