It was in Chicago - our friend from Chicago called me - "we're going to the Cubs game - in five minutes - just wear a T-shirt and shorts because it is really hot". I grabbed my Houston T-shirt and we went to the Bleachers...the only thing I did not know was that the Cubs were playing the Astros that day.

    Can you say instant popularity?

Anyway, the Astros got spanked, but it was a cool experience. I still don't care about baseball, but the atmosphere in the stadium was great...just thought I'd tell the little story about me going to a Cubs game against Houston in a Houston T-shirt... :)

I went to Wrigley Field when I was a kid once. It was only about 45 minutes from our house over from Indiana. So growing up I was a big Cubs for sure.

But it's been 22 years since moving from Indiana to Texas, and now I would never root for them when the Central is this tight, but I will say this. There is not another team other than the Astros that I would rather see win a World Series.

    Go Astros!!
    :)

The one game I've been to at Wrigley was a 'Stros game. It went 12 innings and Tony Eusebio put us ahead in the top of the 12th with a solo homer. With 2 outs in the bottom of the 12th, Sammy came up having hit a jack earlier for #399 of his career and he flew out to the warning track to end the game for what would have been 400. Needless to say, awesome experience.

Wrigley is up there on my list of baddest ass places I've been to. I've seen three Astros' games there (two wins this year, skipped the long extra inning affair) plus another game against Montreal. There's nothing like it.

I was also at the game when Robertson beat Wood and Ensberg hit one out onto Waveland. Good times, great ballpark.
