As a long time bbs poster and chat room clown I had the privilege of watching my first rockets game from the season just finished, a mate of mine you lives in NY sent a pile of tapes over, as bad luck would have it was the Lakers thumping of the Rockets on Feb 27 on NBC. Nevertheless it was great to see a rockets game full stop. Comments on the team and players: Mobley: geez he is quick, needs more control, wouls like to see one of those 30pt game though. Francis: growing up will help, but even in a bad game you could tell he will be special, needs to look to score more, be like iverson just a little more, just cut out the turnovers and mood swings. Anderson: I will have to believe y'all (like the texas slang) on the good defense thing, Kobe scorched him 18 in the first quarter, and defenders just back off when he gets the ball on the 3pt line, shoot the ball. Thomas: Likes the shooting the 3, from his size and speed I think he could be a SF in future. Moochie: Likes to bounce the air out of the ball, but has good ball skillz Dream: Lucky they left the ventilator on, needs a mobile unit if he is to play again next year. Rodgers: Run the floor well, thought he would be quicker though. Drew: Looks like he good poise and control when he carries the ball, hopefully will get to play somewhere else, deserves it. Walt: ICe cold Bull: shoot him now Shaq and Kobe: Just amazing, we are going to need a great team to beat these 2, let alone any chumps they put on the rest of the team. Other observations: LOve the corn rolls, fros and headbands Anyways just great to see the rockets play and get a glimpse of what they could be in the future Smeg of OZ PS IF anyone else (please) wants to send me some other rockets games I would be eternally grateful and would ensure you are paid well for such a gracious act. ------------------
smeg, didn't you say you were getting cable or a satellite dish? Will you have access to Rocket games in the future? ------------------ You just want to be on the side thats winning.
Bob, yeah will have access to satellite espn, but decided it wasn't worth it just for part of the playoffs and offseason (it was delayed when it was actually available), as i want it mainly for the ball, will get it closer to the new season, that will give me 2-3 nba games a week and hopefully the odd rockets game Smeg ------------------
