I was at the intersection of Bellaire and Fondren headed to 59 about 10 minutes ago (11pm Saturday) when I saw this car turn going the opposite way, skid everywhere (smoke going off) and his tire blew. A hispanic guy jumped out of the car and started taking off at full speed. I didn't get a good look at the car, but it sounds like this one: http://www.click2houston.com/news/7682875/detail.html Anyone see or know anything about this?
Did you report what you saw to HPD? If not, you should... never know how much a little information can help.
the story was posted at 12 pm this afternoon. Your incident happen at 11pm, just 40 minutes ago. It may be related, albeit 11 hours of difference, or it maybe the good ol South West Houston area.
When i was 7 a saw two cars chasing each other in my moderately safe spring branch neighborhood. The car that was tailing fired shots. It was just like a movie. Of course no one believed me since I was 7. Still a vivid memory I will never forget...
We were leaving Hobby once and saw a guy walk across the street towards a bank in a full ski cap...in the summer (can you even buy those things anywhere anymore?). I called 911 and they acted like I was crazy. Doesn't promote civilian awareness.
Haha, you saw what you believed to be a crime and you instinctively rushed home to see what a Rockets fan would do in the situation. That's awesome. Tell the police you couldn't call them right away because you had to consult your basketball website on the matter.
