Rockets need to trade the pick...They'll be in the lotto again next year with NO pick. If Ming is on a team that loses consistently I'm thinking the Chinese govt. will probably step in and want to start playing GM with us.
The team as I see it this year will be:

    1. Steve/ball hog
    2. The ball massager/Oscar
    3. Rice (bad feet and all)/ Euro-rook
    4. Mo Taylor (fat kid)/ EG
    5. A three point shooting ZERO defense playing Ming/ Cato

    My team of choice

    1. Steve/ Moochie
    2. Cat/ OT
    3. Odom/8th pick Euro rook/Tmo
    4. MoT/EG
    5. Kandi/EG

prediction: Draft Ming and Rudy and CD are gone within a year.
no pick in 2003. A Chinese govt. pressuring the Rockets to trade Ming to NYC...for a bunch of crap.

The prospect of acquiring Olowokandi gives me absolutely no excitement whatsoever. He's just simply not very good, people! If you think otherwise you're kidding yourself. We don't want Olowokandi and the big contract he's going to demand. I see no potential in him. Finally after three seasons in the NBA, he's shown an inkling of improvement in his numbers. But than can be attributed more to increased playing time and increased field goal attempts than any actual improvement in his game. He's a terrible free throw shooter, and now for the real kicker: Cuttino Mobley who takes some of the toughest shots imaginable had a better FG% than Olowokandi this season. Face it, HE SUCKS!!!

Odom doesn't care about his team and doesn't care about winning. But if you think he is THAT talented (I sure as hell don't) to overlook all that other stuff, and he's good enough to warrant a number one pick being used on him, then I guess that's your opinion.
