    3-25-09 Game Thread

San Antonio @ Atlanta -- Big game here, Atlanta plays good at home, and Spurs on the second of a back-to-back, if we want to win the Southwest, we gotta get help from other teams. Go Hawks!

Denver @ New Orleans -- Huge game here, I'd personally go for the Nuggets, but I wouldn't get too mad if New Orleans won. Go Nuggets!

Golden State @ Dallas -- Golden State is on the second of a back-to-back, I don't know if they can beat Dallas, but they have always had their number so maybe they can.. Go Warriors!

Utah @ Phoenix -- Jazz are also on a back-to-back here, Phoenix has won like 5 in a row.. I think this is a huge game, we just lost to the Jazz, it'd be nice if PHX could beat them here. Go Suns!

I think all the home teams will win but each of these games are close to toss-ups.

If anyone cares, one of the ESPN games is a great EC matchup: Celts at Magic.

All the home teams win except for the Hornets.

    Atlanta, help us!

    Denver @ New Orleans
Win win situation, can't lose. Rather have Denver win due to division rival NOH.

    Golden State @ Dallas
    Rather see Shaqtus in playoffs

    Utah @ Phoenix
The j*zz must lose always, no exceptions (99.99% of the time).

1st game- SAS are going to have problems, I think that team is FINALLY showing its age...well everyone except Parker since he's young he's actually nearing his prime if not in it right now.

2nd game- Would rather Denver win it but it's a toss up for me.

3rd game- Warriors still have their number I feel...

4th game- Utah...when is the last time this team has beat ANY TEAM on the road that is over .500?

Favorable day for the Rockets I predict.

The Hawks will take down another Western Conference Playoff team when the Spurs come to town.

Mavs always have problems with Nellie and the Warriors. Cuban's Boys lose this one.

Jazz at Suns is an intriguing game. I like Phoenix in this one. Jazz are terrible, and playing the second game of a back-to-back against a very up-tempo team.

The Hornets are playing shaky, but so are the Nuggets. This game likely comes down to the 4th quarter, and I like Chris Paul a lot more than Carmelo or Billups. Hornets take this game.

I think this is going to be a pretty solid night for the Rockets.

Remember, Dallas is rested at home and the Warriors are coming off a tough, physical game last night.

I usually like to go with the Warriors over Dallas but not tonight.

Denver will win the division anyway I think, so let's root for them vs. the Hornets.

I hope Hawks perpetuate the Spurs,
    Denver pesticides the Hornets,
Jazz gets scorched by the Suns.

Parker is shooting lights out tonight (16-21 so far). Nobody can stop him.

It'll come down to Parker vs Johnson in the closing minutes.

By the way, Danny Granger is killin' it in the fourth quarter against Miami. Oh God, I want a miracle, I want Dannyboy in Houston!

Parker is unstoppable but it doesn't help that Bibby is a statue on both ends of the floor.

Bibby wasn't even defending him most of the night. He was killing Johnson, Murray and Smith. It didn't matter who the Hawks threw at him. He was on fire, hitting outside shots and getting to the rim with ease.

Wade barely missed a game-winning 3. It looked like it went in and out twice.

Admittedly, I didn't watch the entire game but Bibby was covering him when I watched. I've always maintained that Bibby is an atrocious defender and camps out on the perimeter offensively. More or less in response to the many posters clamoring for us to sign him this offseason.

I watched about 80% of the game. Bibby got hurt early and left the game for stitches or something. He did come back shortly after but I didn't see him covering Parker once. I didn't watch the first few minutes of the game though and didn't watch every possession. Every time I saw Parker handling the ball, Johnson, Murray or Smith were covering him (or trying to cover him), especially in the 2nd half.

You're right though, Bibby is a statue.
