I find it kind of fitting that facebook is the forum for her version philosophical thinking.

Not since Obama got elected. Charles Johnson got either brainwashed or replaced by a pod person and suddenly became a liberal. No one really knows how it happened.

No surprise - I know a lot of former conservatives who have opened their eyes and see how crazy the right has become.

Pain is a bigot - there's no doubt about it. too bad she isn't aware of it. I think she really thinks she's not. I guess that's true of most bigots.

Palin is just as smart as her legion of fans, which is to say she is incredibly stupid.

And yet if she ran for President in 2012, millions would vote for her. Most of them would be the "big government intrudes on private rights" folks. The hypocrisy would be laughable if it was only a handful of morons who thought like this. Sadly that is not the case.

I am not sure what you think she said but since the original post makes it hard to tell which are hers I thought I would clear it up. These are hers everything else was added by the green football guy:

    and

    neither of which are offensive

I would say maybe 3 of those signs in your video amount to racism. The Tea Party consists of maybe 15% of the population and has I would guess 3 rallies a day around the country. I see barely any violence and an incredibly few amount of nut jobs (Again your video shows around three people with offensive signs when thousands of Tea Party rallies have taken place). Relative to other political groups (NOW, Code Pink, Black Panthers) they are amazingly non-violent and respectful to others.

Doesn't matter, any excuse (or none at all really) to make fun of Sarah Palin will do in a pinch.

I think its mostly about needing a bad guy. They can't spend political debates talking about all their policies cause everything single one is underwater in polling (healthcare, stimulus package, finance bill), so they conjure up something to talk about by declaring a person or bill(SB 1070) to be racist. Typical Chicago politics.

How many of the following are made if Obama is not black or if his name is Anglicized?

I think there would be many more of these signs if they hadn't been shamed into keeping them at home during the first round of parties.

Hilarious. The entire point of the tea party is about "needing a bad guy." Without a bad guy, what is the tea party? Just a bunch of pissed off white people. It has no platform, there are no shared principles except for hating Obama. And it's the Democrats that "can't talk about their policies?" The Democrats are the only ones that even have any policies. Neither the tea party nor the Republican party even has any policies -- except angrily opposing anything and everything Obama does.

Michelle Bachman started the "tea party caucus" the other day and when asked for policy positions they had two ideas: skyping with supporters and making legislators cite the Constitution when introducing legislation. This is what you follow? Are you freaking kidding?

And of course there's something wrong with the insanely bigoted idea that a Mosque - a place of worship for a major religion - would be offensive to anyone. That's like saying it would be offensive to Jews to build a church in Germany.

I honestly can't believe you people sometimes.

Read a book or something. You are a dumbass. And if you're not making over 250K, you're a sucker to boot.

You could just ask what are the tea parties platforms.

To give a few more relevant to today:

Healthcare - They would like to see the industry more privatized by getting rid of regulation that hinder insurance companies form doing business across state lines as well as less regulations on what type of insurance a company must provide or who they can provide it too. This would allow more options for customers. They don't want federal money going to abortions.

Illegal Immigration - In the current system it is very difficult, time-consuming to get in the country legally (I think its usually around 18 months). Its also easy to get in illegally. This is backwards and leads to large amounts of illegal immigration which the tea party would like to see changed. Most Tea party members would like to see more troops sent to the border and stricter laws to find illegal immigrants. As far as making getting in the country easier I have heard a few different solutions from Tea Party activists. One would be: privatizing background checks to credit card companies who can do that stuff far more efficiently then the government.

Taxation - The Fair Tax is very popular amongst Tea Party members. It says that all taxation should be done through a sales tax. Tea Party members oppose the current VAT tax being suggested by democrats.

Job Creation - They don't agree with the current Keynesian economic plan put into place by the government that says that any spending by the government creates jobs. They believed that more government debt would be met with less spending in the private sector because citizens know taxation is coming. This was proven correct over the last two years as unemployment as increased even further.

If you want to know about the tea party stance on any other subjects feel free to ask.
