Anyone know this type of genre? Seems like there's a lot of this type of music/artists lately.. It bugs me.. I can't stand mainstream!

I guess its better than the whiney-california boy "punk rock" that was in a few years ago. Actually nevermind, they're both bad.

Did I mention they ALL sound the same?

I laugh Feist. Her last album is really good.

Feist was an indie rock goddess before those Itunes commercials found her.

Sorry, meant like Feist. Even with her becoming popular with IPod, her music is good. That voice is haunting.

Feist is good. Sara Bareilles sounds generic.

Sara Bareilles and Feist are nothing alike, IMO.

Feist falls in the same category as bands like Metric and Stars. It's really hit or miss... mostly miss.

Feist also plays with Canadian super group Broken Social Scene. They are good.

I always thought feist sounded alot like Regina Spektor vocally...although they have a bit of a different sound.

I love Colbie Caillat. She's actually quite good. Feist, meh. Sara Bereilles, she's allright. I'm enjoying this current trend. But I don't expect to be in the majority on this one. (After all, I am a chick, so I'm automatically in the minority on this board.) I actually like singing along to female artists songs.

If you like Feist, try Broken Social Scene (album You Forgot it in People). She is featured a lot on that album
