Ill start it off................ I am looking to trade either Ryan Klesko or one of my third baseman. One is an oddman out, and they all deserve a spot in the starting lineup.............

Uh... dude I hate to be the one to point this out but there are multiple Sandbox leagues around here. Unless they've recently implimented interleague trades, I think your title is a bit presumptious.

Well, if everyone would notice that DrewP started the thread, they might think to themselves," Hey, DrewP is in my league!" Maybe I should of been more specific, but come on.

Aren't there only two sandbox leagues on the go?

It isn't brain surgery to figure out which thread belongs to which league.

I'd be willing to trade one of my relievers (Escobar or Gagne, preferably) for an upgrade at 3B. I'd consider moving Urbina or Foulke as well, though the price would be higher.

I'm also willing to move M. Williams once the season starts. I'm curious as to what Finn is going to do for relievers...

I grabbed Matt Mantei off the waiver wire today. Doctors gave him the ok to start throwing the curveball. Hopefully he will return in May. Luis Viscaino was traded to the Brewers and will get a shot at being their closer. Sleeper? maybe, maybe no.

Sorry finn, I picked up the reliever you would've wanted after the alfonseca trade. Braden Looper. He by all accounts is the marlins new closer with blaine neal maybe factoring in later. :D

Have you seen Looper's stats from last season? 71 IP 30 BB:eek:

He won't be the closer for long, walking that many batters.

Well he is a better option than viscaino or mantei-if you think matt wins his job back ever good luck, i saw he is platooning with nunez, but adv looper he wants to close and has a great home park. I thought you might be interested.

I think Bob definitely needs to swing a deal for a reliever if he wants to be competitive.

Even Mesa, his one true closer, is pretty sketchy.

true fade, I picked up looper as insurance that was all, seeing how every site props him as the Marlins new closer. I did read how nunez will split it with him, but looper said openly he wants to close and be dominant and nunez doesn't. I have a definite interest in delgado if you would be open in trading him, depending on the cost of course.

I think Delgado will be a very valuable player this year. Plus, TSN airs a ton of Jays games every year, so I get to watch Delgado perform, which is an extra bonus. It will take a lot to get him from me! Chipper would probably have to be part of the deal, somehow.

Fade, then as you would probably expect I'd pass. I like delgado too, but paying chipper isn't really worth it. I'm just not sure how I will handle nick and tony at first right now. Btw, what did you think of the looper pickup.

Looper hasn't performed all that well so far, but closers are always a valuable commodity. I was going to pick up Looper, but decided to pass. I think Gagne is a better bet to have a good year.

Bud Smith (P) StL Bud Smith has lost the battle for the final spot in the Cardinals' rotation, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. He will be optioned to Triple-A Memphis.

    :D

Matt Mantei (P) Ari Matt Mantei was happy with his first round of throwing breaking balls yesterday, according to the Arizona Republic. Mantei threw 55 pitches, 13 of which were sliders. "His fastball was down in the zone and he had a good breaking pitch," D-Backs pitching coach Chuck Kniffin said.

u look good jd, especially in a 12 team league...only weakness i c is ur c, but that is to be expected in a 12 team league (in a 12 team league, at least 2 postions are going to suffer by starting a 2nd tier player in that position.) nice drafting...good luck.
p.s. thanks for your comment, it got me thinking...i would have never thought of trading a-rod....that is crazy, but worth thinkin about.

I like fadeaway's team although I don't trust Millwood and I thought that Eric Gange was going to be the Dodgers closer and not a starting pitcher though I could be wrong. I also like the Newfoundland Bagels in that league as well.

I like Fadeaways, except for 3B. League City Skulls is good too, a well rounded team.

Everyone seems to like your team the best!
you've got rock-solid pitching, esp. now that gagne has been named closer for LA.

you probably have the best top-to-bottom OF. IF is hit-or-miss, though Fick, Alomar and Delgado are great. Python's look to have best catching tandem, but sf3's got piazza, and if molina can stay healthy...

Pflugerville Suburbanites look dangerous, if they can shore up RP and C.

If H-Town can get one more closer and one more starter, they will be a dominant force.

As teams currently stand, I cannot go against the crowd -- your team is tops.

I really like the Bagel's. Great 1-2 punch in Brown and Schilling and the IF is very solid at all positions. Yes, the OF could use another good player, since Dye is injured but I really like the RP's.

Damn, they like me, they really like me!

I think I have a really solid team. I could use an upgrade at 3rd, hopefully one of the rookies will drop to me on the waiver wire.

BTW, anybody ever remember such a large crop of hot prospect rookies at one position? Burroughs, Ensburg, Blalock, Hinske....all I need is one.
