RAID, sunsrocketsfan, and myself made the drive up to LA from San Diego. We left with no tickets and decided we'd make an adventure out of it and look for tickets when we got there. We ended up RIGHT BEHIND the Clippers bench, literally the first and second row (RAID persuaded us to venture out and experience the lavish, baller lifestyle he lives)! You could see us on tv each time the game was on that side of the floor (I was holding the big Yao head), high-fiving each other after every Rockets basket. We didn't really heckle the Clippers or get into it with any fans, as almost everyone around us was really cool and respectful, unlike the fans in the uppers we're used to.

We met up with fellow clutchfans members, and noticed there were a lot of Rockets fans there. The game was a nailbiter and we were so glad we won, as last time we lost to the Lakers we had to walk out of Staples listening to everyone talk trash. Although there were some really idiotic people trying to talk trash to us as we were leaving (um..didn't we just win?). We saw and took a picture with Les as we were leaving, and he was really nice.

We were planning on singing the Yao song and had the perfect opportunity at the end when he was shooting freethrows as it was all quiet, but we were too involved in the game and forgot. We also would liked to have told Les to bring Calvin back, but we didn't think of it at the time.

    Pics to follow...

Some bum that begged us to take his picture, then asked us for money afterward.

You were you holding the yao ming face out the window of the car as you were driving to LA, or did you buy it at the game. haha

I saw you guys go towards bill and bull as there were doing their post game stuff and I did see Bill point at the Yao head and smile. I of course was further away to hear anything. Hopefully R2K has it in his highlights if not the pre/post game

We didn't really hear too much, they were pretty quiet. Yaroslav Korolev, who was inactive, was sitting right in front of us and talked to me quite a bit about my Yao head and being a Houston fan. He got to the bench late and said that they drug tested him, to which he was surprised (probably since he's a scrub and not even playing). He seemed really cool but not really close to the team as I don't think we saw him say a single word to anyone players.

Bullard made a comment towards the end of the game that no matter where Chris Kaman goes he will always have Yao Ming lingering near him. Then Bill made a comment about Kaman having nightmares about your foam head. All in all it was a pretty hilarious exchange.

RAID will be flying back to Houston for the Utah game (he'll be sharing the suite) in his new private jet! Don't let this guy fool you, he's pretty loaded, but really down to earth. Sunsrocketsfan and I are the usual working Joe's and would never dream of getting those seats we were in, but RAID was more than willing to pay for us in order to taste a piece of the good life he lives (we didn't let him though). I don't know what he does, but it did seem like him and Les were pretty tight.

Dang thats CRAZY a private jet. sweet yeah i am an average working joe as well. While like everyone I aspire to be rich I am happy with what I have otherwise my life would be miserable always wanting more.

we should have him fly out to houston for a playoff game

RAID hint hint wink wink *

i'll try to look for some tickets for tomorrows game and give sunrocketsfan a call if i find anything that is decent.

Congrats on the great luck in finding the tickets! Nice pics, looks like yall had a great time. :) Did you get any pictures during the game?

I think I saw yall during the game on ESPN too. I recorded the game so I can check and see if I am right. You said were right behind the Clippers and I am pretty sure I saw the guy in the Tmac jersey.

Also did you draw the Yao face? Or did yall buy it somewhere? It's a pretty good likeness and a cool idea. :)

I'm not sure how they found the guy but they were sweatin outside staples center when the guy showed up like 30-45 mins later than the suggested meet up time.

oh yeah there was this BIG asian guy outside before the game, decked out in white jordan sweats, at least a 7 footer. some people thought he was yao. he say scyman's foam yao but he didnt look to pleased to see it.

i am not sure how much they ended up paying for the three seats, but at least for clipper games if you are willing to spend stubhub is a great place to find some decent seats.

scyman--the rockets fan with the facepaint and wig is he a member here? robgue and I were next to him in line to get drinks before the game
