I'm living in San Antonio for the summer doing an internship, so being in Spurs country is bad enough, I get not to friendly comments fairly often on my Rockets license plate holder and my Rockets t-shirts.

But it makes it worse when these morons on their sports radio station start thinking out loud about the Rockets. (They constantly rip Houston sports radio by the way)

They suggest that the more likely move is a trade of some sort of Yao for LeBron. You may be wondering WTF, what is their reasoning? Well there isn't much reasoning to be frank, but here it is according to them:

1.) Everyone in China owns a Yao Rockets jersey and a Cavs LeBron jersey, so a swap would cause huge sales of the new jerseys. Which is true, but why would the Cavs care about sales of a LeBron Rockets jersey?

2.) They believe the Cavs are convinced that LeBron is going to leave so they might as well get Yao who will be profitable for the Chinese investors and just begin to build around him.

Don't get me wrong, LeBron for Yao in some way would be a great move for the Rockets, but it is such an implausible idea that I couldn't believe people who are paid to be knowledgeable about sports would even suggest it.

And it's just another chance for us to rip on San Antonio. :D

Wait, hold on, is SA radio saying that trading Yao for Lebron would be a bad deal for Houston? Because if we were actually approached with this, it would be....... oh my god. Just, oh my god.

No, they aren't suggesting that. But, just the fact they are discussing this as something the Cavs would approach us about is laughable.

Neither team would do the trade! Both Yao and LJB are free agent next summer. They wouldn't make such a big trade just for one season.

Sorry I should have mentioned this before, they suggested that extensions would be agreed to by both parties before hand.

Why do they think Yao or James would agree with the extensions? In fact, even Bosh didn't do that!

Yao is honorable and has lots of pride. I don't think he's that stupid. He would probably rather take $100,000 yearly salary to win a championship. Winning a championship is more important to Yao then most people think.

Why does Yao want to join that Cavs team minus Lebron and agree on an extension?

All teams should base their roster moves on Chinese jersey sales.

    This.

    Cleveland's Lineup:

    Mo Williams/Scrub
    Scrub/Scrub
    Scrub/Scrub
    Scrub/Scrub
    Yao Ming/Zydruna Ilgauskas

Houston's Lineup: (If we somehow get pick #2 or 3 for TMAC)

    Brooks/Lowry
    Battier/Wafer
    James/Artest
    Scola/Landry
    Thabeet/Backup C

We would own the West, while Cleveland would get destroyed in the East.

What's funny about that is San Antonio people ripping Houston sports talk. What exactly is San Antonio sports talk? What do they do? Talk Spurs all day? Oh wait... maybe they talk Cowboys? Texans? I guess they have to fill in time by talking about towns that do have sports teams.

First time I've seen a moderator be completely biased towards one team.

    Keep it up!

And it IS true. Aside from the Spurs and the Silver Stars (lawlz), what do they talk about?

    High school teams?

Haha actually twice this week I've heard interviews with HS football coaches, as well as a few segments on the San Antonio Missions.

I'm surprised one of those financially unstable teams like Charlotte doesn't field a team comprised entirely of Chinese players? That would certainly boost revenues from jersey sales.

You do realize people only buy jerseys from people that are good?

Why do you think people have Yao jerseys in China, but not Sun Yue jerseys?

I mean, they're both on the Chinese National team, and both play for the NBA, right?

Hell, Sun Yue is even an NBA champion.

With all that being said, Yao >>>>> Yue

I believe it is hard to sort sarcasm from stupidity on the web.
