Shouldn't be surprising. Samsung is the bigger company between the two; which is why I find all who defended Samsung during the patents trial incredibly gullible. It really was a case of the bigger company ripping off the innovator.
samsung also makes their SSDs samsung is a hardware manufacturer. they make the raw components. Apple just buys them.
Samsung and LG both make (or made) retina displays for the Apple. Most of these companies rely on one another. Samsung probably relies the least on anybody simply because they make damn near everything from individual components all the way to finished product.
Bigger in terms of what? Breadth of product? Because it sure ain't in terms of market cap or cash. Of course with the way Apple's stock has been performing lately ...
