Show some loves to cAssell peole. He is killing the nuggets.. I wish
Francis has Cassell Sick jumpers. It is so smoooooooth. I am NOT Bashing Francis, just saying it woudl be nice for francis or anybody to have those smooth mid range jumpers.

Anyway.. it is going to be a great series
Cassell is like KJ, I just saw someone wearing a boy size old KJ jersey today too, haha

the reason he has been traded so much is he SHOOTS too much, but if he keeps the shots going in i dont think Flip will mind.

man, dropped 40 on 'em. if the rockets can't win it all (and we won't), then i'm going for minnesota (and sactown after that). elie got another ring, horry got him 3 more, it's time for cassell to get him an extra one (and on a team i don't hate to boot). and all 3 of them would be considered quite instrumental in getting their teams to win it. anything that makes championship years rockets look good is ok with me.

The knock on KG and the Wolves in previous years has been closing games out, scoring clutch baskets in the last quarter.

Sam is, and always has been, clutch. He's a key ingredient for them.

His numbers this season are impressive:

    19.8 PPG on
    48.8% FG
    39.8% 3P
    87.3% FT

7.3 APG along with 1.26 SPG, whilst giving up only 2.7 TO/G

Those are excellent numbers for a point guard, whichever way you look at it.

Sam Cassell is the best stop and pop shooter in the nba. He's doing these for the last 5 -6 years. I rememer him as a fearless, clutch young player during the rockets back to back championships in 94 and 95. There were times that he was erratic and turn the ball over lots of times but there no denying the fact that he's going to be special. That 3 pointer over ewing in game 3 of the nba finals in 94 was huge and i beleive that it was the clincher becoz the knicks were going to beat the rockets in games 4 and 5 but were going to beat them in games 6 and 7. If the rockets have cassell in game one, who knows, the game is over in the third quarter alone, rockets 65 lakers 42.

I know this will offend the Barkley lovers, but IMO one of the worst trades we ever made was trading Sam Cassell and Robert Horry to the Suns for a declining Sir Charles. Barkley's game never meshed with the Dream or Clyde Drexler and the Rockets went spinning into oblivion for 10 years.

You need to ask the Dream about this deal...

Either you are clutch, or you're not. The vast majority of the players in the NBA, the Jim Jacksons of the world, are not. Sammy has always had "it", and he's going to singlehandedly carry the Wolves out of the playoff mediocrity they've been mired in for years. KG may be the MVP, but Sam I am is the man.

I'd give JJ that shot again. And again. And again.

But yeah, too bad we missed out on Sam's career.

Sam Cassell is the greatest basketball player in the history of the world. Dream was good and all, but Sammie was, is, and will always be perfection.

Seriously, though, I always loved him and also hated the Barkley trade. Hated it then, hated it more when the Barkley era was a failure, and hate it even more now. I am just glad Sam is finally getting some recognition.

Nobody does a better Subway commercial, either. "Now that's a thuper thub!" was the greatest line.

I will always be a Sam Cassell fan. For the part he played in bringing 2 NBA championships to H-Town, he is an automatic inductee into my Hall Of Fame.

Maybe if we hadn't gotten run out of the playoffs on a rail in 96, we don't make that trade - but we were clearly an inferior team to Seattle, and we needed to make that move - and it paid off, we got by Seattle to the WCF.

If you are a true Rockets fan you have to pull for Sammy and the t-wolves until we play them or *IF* the Rockets are eliminated... ;)

Good for Sam. He always showed great energy and love for the game. It was awesome to watch him play. He was one of those guys who liked to shoot a lot and I'd be saying no no no no.. YES!!! he was so clutch in the 94 finals
