The source of the above quote will go un-mentioned (because we share some of the same perspective on different issues), but I have to address this specific comparison of Cassell to Mobley.

Let me start off by saying I like Mobley...coming off the bench -- considering Houston's current guards.

Cassell might have been brash and out-spoken, but it was this same **** -sure attitude that delivered the shots (or assists) in critical situations. Next to Olajuwon (in his prime), I definitely wanted the ball in Cassell's hands at the end of close games.

Sure, Mobley -wants- the ball in crucial situations, but he doesn't always deliver. Cassell (and Horry), however, delivered when it counted. When you think about it, those championship teams had some amazing clutch players: Olajuwon, Cassell, Drexler, Horry, and Elie.

Not only have the Bryce Drew and Jason Williams bashers crossed the line, but they've sprinted a couple of miles beyond it.

As far as I'm concerned, Drexler lost his Clutch status in game 6 vs. Utah.
