    Hey guys,

I know the two piers in Galveston are still under construction.

Anywhere besides Sea Wolf park to go fishing that is less than 2 hours away?

I have done Freeport once and it seemed so far but would be willing to check it out again. What is the name of that pier again?

If you go to free port where do you buy live bait?

    Pier one??

    Just kidding.

Is it the San Luis pass Pier? If it is, it's no longer there I believe.

if the surf is down and you don't have a boat just get a stringer and head out to the 2nd or 3rd sandbar with your bait bucket

If you want to find some fun places to do some bank/wade fishing i suggest you go to 2COOLFISHING.COM. Its a really cool message board, free to join w/ instant access. You can pose the question there and Bamk Fisherman are very good about letting others know their best spots.

Being serious. I have only fished off the two Galveston piers. I never grew up in fishing so common terms people use are new to me.

    Sorry to sound dumb

Through google I now know hat you are talking about.

I have never fished out in the actual water on a sand bar. Seems fun.

I don't use a stringer. I usually just dump the fish we decide to keep in the cooler. Again, never been sand bar fishing so never needed one.

Back to the original question. What piers can i fish from that are open and operational?

Texas city is closed ur best bet look for residential piers. I know there's one in shoreacres but u need a key but usually someone will let u in another in bayside, there's a few in Galveston like Indian beach just search harder... The only "big" piers left is seawolf, San Luis, and San leon by baycliff

I typically launch my Cigarette fishing yacht right off Allen Parkway and I-45.
