I haven't seen it posted here yet but if it has I apologize. I was watching the Saints game earlier and the announcers brought something up about Ernie Conwell, the Tight End for the Saints. I didn't catch where he was or where this took place. He saw a couple in a store and he approached them and started talking to them. They were from the New Orleans area and had lost basically everything including their engagement rings. After a long talk with them Mr. Conwell when out and bought the couple engagement rings. He was almost brought to tears when the couple offered him what little money they had left. I'm sure he declined their money but I just wanted to share this act of kindness from an NFL player. I tried looking for a link but haven't been able to find one.
Conwell was having a great game today until he was severely injured ~ concussion and dislocated jaw (I believe). Let's hope that it's not as bad as it sounds.
Conwell was later revealed to be a cheap-ass when it was uncovered that he gave them his SuperBowl ring instead.
