Looking like a Rosenfels how u http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/11/28/sage-rosenfels-could-spin-back-to-houston/ Sage Rosenfels could spin back to Houston Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on November 28, 2011, 9:29 AM EST APSage Rosenfels is currently on the reserve/non-football injury list on the Dolphins roster. It sounds like he may not be there for long. A reader asked SI’s Peter King on Twitter Monday about a report on a Houston radio station that the Dolphins will release Rosenfels, so that he can sign with the Texans. King says that report is true. Rosenfels was sidelined by a mysterious blood infection in August while he was a member of the Giants. He was later released and joined the Dolphins in early October, but only lasted three weeks until the same problem occurred again. Rosenfels started 10 games over three seasons in Houston, with his famous “Rosencopter” play against the Colts standing out as a lowlight. But Rosenfels went 6-4 in those starts and averaged 7.5 yards-per-attempt, which indicates he knows Gary Kubiak’s offense well. There could be a couple of issues here getting in Houston’s way. First, Rosenfels would be subject to waivers after he was released. A team like the Titans, for instance, could block the move by putting in a claim for Rosenfels. The Dolphins would also have to be willing to play ball. They don’t have to release Rosenfels just because he wants it. Tampering issues could also be at play; Rosenfels is on Miami’s roster and any communication with the Texans at this stage would be against league policy. Rosenfels was supposedly unable to play football for Miami, so they could chose to hold him to that if they wanted. DD
John McClain said on 610 that the Texans would not be interested in Sage. I have a feeling we're going to get him.

I'm starting to think everytime McClain says the Texans aren't interested in someone... it's really him thinking it.
Bud Adams would like nothing more than to give Houston one last FU. He'll grab Sage in front of us on the waiver wire to screw us.
Oddly enough, yesterday afternoon I was thinking it would be nice to have Rosencopter on the sidelines when Leinart went down. Even with all teh bumbling he did, he was still a capable backup.
Sage is an average NFL QB. He throws a lot of picks, but he is not Private First Class Checkdown. He is not a Trent Dilfer as he is a playmaker....just depends on the play whether it is a good or a bad play. He can win games. He can lose games. In spectacular fashion. If the Texans can get him within the salary cap, I say do it. This is based on what I saw from him in 2007-2008 so he may be rusty.
I'd actually like to see him back on the team as well. Yeah he throws some picks and tries to be superman sometimes, but at this point we're scraping the bottom of the barrel for a savior anyway. I hope we sign him.
Outside of the Colts game, I don't remember Sage doing a whole lot of things that weren't good. If healthy (what is a "mysterious blood infection?"), he could very well do just enough to win a playoff game or two. That being said, those egg-sucking, chicken-stealing, moonshine-drinking titans and their toothless, hillbilly, inbreeding, mountain-trash fans will probably claim him just to keep him from us and keep their pathetic excuse for a season alive. And I say that with the greatest of respect for the fine people of Tennessee.
I wanted him to be the starter over Carr in '06. He's not near as good as Schaub but I think he could have been a starter in the NFL, just never got hot his chance. At this point, if we can get him, get him! He's our best chance to make noise in the playoffs. He will do better than Favre corpse would. Yates might be able to do it in 3 seasons, but right now he's not ready from what I saw yesterday... Although that could be blamed on play calling.
