What... nobody wants to talk about how the inspectors didn't destroy all the WMDs?

The Iraqi people wanted to execute him, not the US.

No doubt. I am pretty good with body language, and that question threw him off a bit, he didn't look comfortable answering it at all. Whatever the truth is, he wasn't telling it then. It was still a pretty good interview, and that whole thing about how a personal insult from some Kuwaiti Emir was the 'straw that broke the camel's back' was pretty interesting, and it makes perfect sense (that whole Arab pride/honor thing).

Anyways, no love lost for Saddam, but he still got to 'go out' how he would've wanted to: a martyr. He was much more 'dignified' during his execution than his executioners were. I still have no idea how we allowed that to happen.

i doubt he "tortured" saddam in the more hard core sense (beat up and such). He did look uncomfortable answering it but i'm not sure if anything went on with saddam more than pyscological tactics (like the time, putting up a facade, maybe some tough talking and false threats, etc) but I dont see the benefit of this guy in particular doing anything too bad since he was suppose to befriend saddam.

    interesting interview though

well, in a way, US gave the green light. i mean, wasn't he backed by US before the golf war? also, a lot dictators were backed by US before, none of them were executed by the people, cause no green light was given.

i am not saying what's right or what's wrong. not for me to judge. just seems pretty "unfair" to him, OR FAIR for his people. i am not sure how much better they got now. seems like more violence there now than when he was a dictator.
