New Jersey Nets center Alonzo Mourning will no longer be able to play professional basketball, effective November 24, 2003, due to an existing medical condition, Nets President/General Manager Rod Thorn announced today. Sad part is he needs a kidney transplant and if anyone has been though this or knows someone who has its just sad.... Good Luck Alonzo

Sorry, Benzman. That came out harsh like. The main point is that it's sad. Secondary point is that I think this is basically the same topic though. Many thread mergings ahead of us I think, what with three threads about the Bulls coach.
i actually only have one kidney myself. probably will cause me problems later on in life. i dont drink that often but i probably shouldnt do it at all. kind of scary to think about.
Well, it's sad mourning never got to play for a title but he had a good career and made lots of $$$. He will have plenty of quality years to come.
