I'm not a big golf guy.

But I freaking love this event!!!!

Nothing like seeing freaking Tiger and Lefty paired up together. Damn, I love those guys...and I'm not even a big golf fan!

Well we're down in 4 of 4 matches so far.

At least our crappy showings on Friday always make for a fun weekend.

I agree w/ Max; I'll try to watch the Majors, but this is the one golf event that I'll actually cancel other plans for.

One of the best sporting events I witnessed, was the 99 Ryder Cup, when we came back on Sunday to win it.

    Simply breaktaking.

I'm not a fan of the tiger/phil pairing.

If they go down or come up short even on day one, it will be a HUGE loss in team morale and could become our downfall.

the negatives outweigh the potential positives in my mind.

Very likely, but normal assumptions don't apply to the Ryder Cup. :)

This is like Deja Vu all over again. Every time they tee this event up the US uber pros give it away early.

However with the US being so favored it really doesn't get interesting until they are down 4 or 5 matches. How else can you get any drama out of a 'Nothing to win, everything to lose' match-up unless you can bring it back from the brink of disaster.

Glad to see the crowd cheering for all the good shots though. Hell, it's just exhibition golf; nobody dies, nobody even wins any money.

    Morning Results:

    Europe 3.5
US 0.5 (Riley sunk a putt on 18 to get our only half-point)

Hal decided to start-off with 4-ball, even though we've been spanked about 31-13 points in the past in that format?

    Uncalled-for hubris???

I'm not gay or anything but Colin Montgomery has lost a ton of weight and actually looks good. No more "Mrs Doubtfire" label on him.

Anyone know how he got in shape?

let's face it, the euros have nothing to lose, they place loose and enjoy the competition more because they are the underdogs. our sphincters are all tensed up and we choke all over the place. we need to find a way to chill out and just go for it.
