Ryan Adams not amused to be called Bryan

Ryan Adams forced a member of the audience to leave one of his shows after he thought he was Bryan Adams.

The singer-songwriter was playing a gig at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville when a member of the audience shouted at him to play Summer of '69. The song was a hit for Bryan Adams.

Adams ordered the house lights be turned on so he could find the fan.

He then paid him $30 cash as a refund for the show, ordered him to leave and said he wouldn't play another note until that happened.

The venue's general manager stopped the fan on his way out, apologised profusely and allowed him back into the concert.

    The fan kept Adams' $30.

The guy shoulda waited outside after the concert and kicked Ryan's ass. That way, Ryan would've paid to get his own ass kicked.

This guy would have only charged him $25 instead of $30.

I searched him on the net and apparently he is a musician. Ther eare some samples of his music at cdnow.com but I am too lazy to look up the link. I listened to a couple of samples and I think I would agree with the fan. He should have played Summer of '69. THat woul dhave been more entertaining.

This reminds me of the Michael Bolton character from Office Space. Too eager to separate his name from celebrity.

"Why should I change. He's the one who sucks." :D

Seriously... Summer of 69 is a terrific song.

I think Ryan Adams is that guy that made that New York song about the time of 9/11.

    That's correct.

He has also done one of those "Music in High Places" shows. He and his band performed in Jamaica with some lesser known Reggae musicians (probably stars there but unknowns in the US).

Ryan Adams was the lead singer a guitarist for Whiskeytown, which was one fantastic band in the 90s. Now he's solo. His first solo effort, "Heartbreaker" is pretty good, but nothing compared to Whiskeytown's second album, "Strangers Almanac", which is incredible. I'm not overly impressed with "Gold", his second solo album.

He should not be confused with Bryan Adams, but jeez....relax, man. I wish I had been there. Funny. Reminds me of when my buddies and I were in college at a Indigo Girls show (it was our dates' choice) and a guy next to us yelled "play some Zeppelin" between songs.

At least nobody will ever confuse him with former nWo member, Brian Adams.

I like Ryan Adams. His CD, "Gold", is excellent.

    Carry on.

Dude is a cocky prick if you ask me. His music is ok, but when I saw him live a few weeks ago the ass said this:

"I feel alot of sexual energy in the air here in Austin...... And its all directed at me (laughs)."

I wont ever buy one of his albums.

Not to mention the fact that he sucked live.
