His little snicker when Ackerman very matter of factly called Grady Dicks name in the course of a play was embarassing. 12 year olds have a more mature sense of humor.
Hollins is great! Always glad Tilman went after a guy that wasn't a former Rockets player, to get a outside perspective. Hollins is perfect for our broadcast
His pairing with Ackerman is super cringe. I think I could stand one or the other separately (more so ackerman, less so hollins), but both of them together makes me want to club baby seals.
It makes sense. hakeemthagreat likes the guy who so over the top claims a foul isn't a foul on the Rockets. Then replays show the Rockets player shove the other player in the back. Ackerman acknowledges it's a foul on the new evidence. Hollins' ego won't allow him to admit he was wrong and he doubles down saying there's no push. I genuinely don't understand how hakeemthaclown can somehow have even worse takes than he already has.
If only a snickers would have some miraculous 100+ IQ boost. I'd spam feed them to Hollins & hakeemtheclown.
I couldnt believe it when Craig said "Dick just can't seem to get it in the hole!" after that airball.
Hollins is terrible and has only improved by saying a little less than he did his first year. So cringe. There are probably 20 or more folks on this board who could do a better job.
Hollins has grown on me, but wish he would stick to analyzing the game, which is his strength. Any time he starts talking about rockets players he goes over the top. Like cringy over the top. To this day I can’t get over his effusive praise of Stephen Silas during some of the worst years of the franchise. But he’s really good at breaking down game action; he can be really insightful. He just needs to leave everything else alone because that when things go south.
