Ryan Bowen did a helluva job against Dirk. All we heard leading up to this game was "who can contain Dirk?". Our usual 10th man off the bench, that's who.

Look, someone's got to step up in the playoffs with Juwan out.

Why can't Bowen be the new Chucky Brown?

    Great job tonight, Bowen!

Tracy was unbelievable, and Bowen did a nice job on Nowitski.... but I don't believe Nowitski will continue to play so poorly no matter how well we defend him.

That said, I hope that Tracy gets a little more rest in the next game, and Padgett comes in to offer a little more offense in place of Tracy and Bowen.

Hats off to Bowen and the team defense of the Rockets. They did what nobody thought they could do. TThroughout that game, across the world, Bowen's name found itself sandwiched between german curse words thousands upon thousands of times. :D

I was surprised when JVG started Bowen. He did a helluva job on Dirk. I think we got lucky w/ Dirk's shooting. I'm glad he didn't start Weatherspoon, but he should of brought him in against that b*stard Dampier. He really fumes up!

That's true. That's why Yao must do better and off-set any scoring that Dirk provies next game. We didn't play our best. Not really.

one good thing is that after this game bowen's going to get a least a better rep as a good defender... which will hopefully lead to a little more leeway by the refs. i mean the refs won't be so susceptible to assuming a dirk miss must've been a foul

My friends and I likes to call Ryan Bowen "THE FARMER"! Doesn't he look like a farmer boy from the midwest? Anyways i give it up to him for shutting down "the ultimate driving machine" dirk diggler! GO ROCKETS! i say they can win in 5! knowing the rockets they will lose their home games! =(

Absolutely correct. We can't count on the refs handing us any games, so we'll have to continue to win them the old fashioned way. Yao is going to have to play well to win this series.

Is it Dallas-Mavs.com? If you have registered there, check out the thread I created...some really pissed off Mavs fans for me coming into their backyard.

I don't know why people are surprise that JVG starts Bowen. From watching him play this season, he's one of the best defender on the team, and he moves quick, hustles, sacrifice his body, has the ability to stay with most guys. It's not the first time he simply harrasse a star on the other team.

It was pretty funny when the announcer said "wow bowen hit a shot, amazing! thats just gravy for the rockets."
This season, Bowen's always been pretty good with that open 14 footer.

I have been saying this for weeks...the last time someone talked this noise was Barkley..and a no name shut him up...this time...it's Bowen that is just happy to be out there and he gives his all..not only defensivly but a lot more...he tipped and saved a lot of balls out there that don't show up in box scores but defiently helped us out a lot.

I was surprised because he usually starts Weatherspoon at the PF position. Very strategic move by JVG.
