Holy cow, lost of happenings in the world these days Russia is now a member of NATO,the organization created to stop the soviet threat from spreading. that is like blacks and Catholics joining the KKK. maybe more appropriately KKK members becoming catholic and m arrying interacially. and now Libya has offered $2.2 billion to the victims of the pan AM 103 lockerby Scotland plane victims and their families. they OFFERED this. sure they want to be in the good graces of the western world again, but I would call this a big move none the less.
Libya has tied the victims' compensation to the lifting of U.S. economic sanctions, not exactly a selfless gesture.
