i know many months ago, i made a thread about trading WB, but i realized hes a very imporant piece to the team. BUT, whenever things go wrong, WB is blamed, and never durant.....why?
I hate WB because of the way he yells after a dunk. I'll give him the fact that he is a great dunker, I just hate the gaping mouth yell- LeBron style. Anyway, WB does receive a lot of criticism, some warranted, some not. I feel it is the same with most teams- there is always a scapegoat (see both KMs with Houston)
If you watched the playoffs last year it was apparent that Westbrook was holding them back. If they lose because Durant performs poorly then he'll catch the blame.
this is a line of bull. everybody thinks that durant can't do no wrong, but durant was OWNED by dirk, plain and simple.
I have no idea what game you watched but Westbrook, ball-hogged and took them out of sets constantly to iso himself. It was a shamockery.
a point guard is supposed to hog the ball. durant wasn't ready to take out dirk and company. this year, i think that their interior defense is suffering because perkins is not himself. so we'll see what happens. that is why i suggested that the thunder trade harden for amare. it would upgrade a very poor front court and allow them to play in more half court sets.
taking the most shots does not = ISO'ing the best player on the team out of offensive plays and ISO'ing the rest of team out of offensive sets, while trying hard for individual playoff glory. That **** was funny but probably not to OKC fans.
I have never seen a player get in shape and not be as effective it's weird. Unfortunately Amare's contract isn't even covered by insurance (iirc) he is such an injury risk, I doubt they would even think that way.
I know its pretty much open and shut that's why I was wondering why you were even arguing - all that's left is just to leave the thread or post smilies.
Its the way Westbrook carries himself on the court hes inviting a ton of criticism. He isn't an expert flopper like Durant and Harden and doesn't get as much protection from the refs but he yells after every good play like it was the 1st time he did it. Excessive celebration. Over the top taunting. Just has a very unlikeable aura and body language.
taking the most shots isn't good if you cause the rest of your team to go out of rhythm and also ISO out your best player who is in fact heavily valued as an offensive weapon not a defensive stopper. Doesn't make sense, atleast to me and that's what I saw during the playoffs. But hey! Westbrook does killer crossovers am I rite?? they should trade Durant for a defensive wing, get Rudy T and run the Steve Francis ISO special all-day-everyday killer crossovers word and1 special.
its obviously good for WB to take more shots than durant, because the record shows for it. Man, is it really that hard to understand? OKC is a better team when WB shoots more....so obviously the team doesn't have a problem finding their 'rhythm'
