Yeah, it's Rush but I didn't think this belonged in D&D. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4535583 ST. LOUIS -- Published and broadcast reports say radio personality Rush Limbaugh and St. Louis Blues owner Dave Checketts are joining together in a bid to purchase the St. Louis Rams. KMOX Radio and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch report that the Checketts group has made a bid on the Rams and would keep the team in St. Louis. NFL spokesman Greg Aiello declined comment to The Associated Press on Tuesday, and the Rams said in a statement that a "strategic review" continues. In a statement to KMOX, Limbaugh confirmed the bid but would not name additional partners. Georgia Frontiere moved the Rams from Los Angeles to St. Louis in 1995. She died in January 2008, and her two children are now majority owners.
I can name one team that Donovan McNabb will never play for if that were to happen and he were to leave Philly.
To be fair it looks like he is part of a group to buy the team, he's not buying it himself. I doubt he has a black quarterback starting for him anytime soon.
What's going to happen when his rhetoric towards black people makes it so that no black players with a choice will want to play for them?
That will mean Brian Leonard or Peyton Hillis are their only hopes at running back, and good luck finding a Cornerback.
If this were to go down, somehow I get the feeling that the team doctors would be writing a few more prescriptions.
I'd love to see that. All the liberals will be obsessed with seeing them lose and if the Rams win it all, it would be like they lost an election
i dont think ALL players would really boycott the team because at the end of the day, its money, right? Maybe some principled guys would, but most wouldn't. The only color the really matters is green. but yeah, I would hate the Rams then.
I think they're just making some light-hearted jokes about the situation. They're not taking thyis seriously.
Isn't Tony LaRussa's contract up with St. Louis? How about we just grab him and Dave Duncan in a package deal. If we can't get Tony, just Dave will be fine. But in all realism, I doubt we'll get Duncan -- he'll go where Tony goes, and Tony ain't going anywhere.
Wow, totally the wrong thread. Got my tabs mixed up. Uhh, on topic... LOL @ political teams. The Rams would get worse.
i don't think that's possible. End of the day, it won't do anything in terms of fan base. A few looney will "hate" the rams but that's just because they are miserable little people.
