Once he does, I'll have gained some more respect for him. As of now, I'm happy he's seemed to kick his problem. Let's just hope he gained a little perspective in the whole deal.
Scumbag hypocrite radio is back and giddyup is signing up for another 15 years worth. How giddy he must be today.
Wow. He says that he has been addicted since 1995 or 1996. He claims that he tried to dodge the issue so he wouldn't have to appear to be knowledgeable. He couldn't dodge them all, could he?! If you want to call in hypocritical when he is trying to hide his own addiction with his remarks, go ahead. I see it more as sickness than hypocrisy, though.
A radio commentator who rails against drug addicts while addicted to drugs himself is a pure, unadulterated 100% hypocrite.
Glad to see that Rush is on the road to recovery. Drug addiction is a horrifyingly difficult thing to kick, and I hope he makes it through OK.
If Rush was a hypocrit before, he must be some kind of mega-hypocrit now that giddy is on board. Mega dittoes!!!
No. Did you read what I wrote? I didn't think he was being hypocritical when making those comments for two reasons: 1) Because i had no idea that his addiction reached back that far. I thought it was more like the year 2000 or so when his problems began. 2) He was enmired in a sickness addiction that he was trying to hide. Distancing himself from other drug users was one way to do that--- in his own mind as well as the publics. I know you all want to have your field day with this (and I won't be able to stop you), but I don't see the sense in calling a drug addict a hypocrite as you want to indict Rush. Go ahead if it makes you feel better. I'll abstain from crowing about anyone's suffering... unless they are along the lines of Usama or Saddam.
Should I pile on with charges of "HYPOCRITE!" when my recovering-alcoholic mother expresses concern about other people's drinking? I'm more inclined to think of it as pathetic.... and then just be grateful that she has her own drinking under control. I'm glad she's not in politics...
If you think all Rush was doing, in regards to the subject of addiction on his radio show, was "expressing concern", then I have some prime beachfront property to sell you...in Montana. There is a big difference between "expressing concern" for people and insulting people.
