Which is worst in your eyes?

I ask because family friend went to this wedding, and the (groom) went missing on his wedding day. Rumors persisted.

But, when you actually think about it is really that bad...

If the father of the bride is paying for the wedding, worse if the man disappears. Otherwise, about equal.

Since the wedding is usually for the bride, and is paid for by the father of the bride, I think its "worst" for the groom to bail....but pretty crappy if either one does it.

Neither. If you don't want to get married, you really shouldn't.

If someone wants to back out, fine, but don't wait until the day of the wedding to do it.

Winner. Yeah, it sucks to be humiliated on your wedding day, but you know what sucks more? Having a miserable marriage that drags on until you can't stand the sight of each other and get divorced.

I didn't even know these type of things actually happened. I thought it was only in the movies.

You don't remember the story a couple years ago about the runaway bride who disappeared a few days before the wedding and claimed she had been kidnapped and sexually assaulted by a hispanic guy?

Let me tell you something guys, I'm married and it sucks.
To be serious though it's probably equal, whether it be the bride of groom who bails. If the other person really cares then they are going to be heartbroken.

I'd say the worst is a runaway bride. Honestly, weddings are FOR women.

Even though I enjoyed mine, if I were going to drop thousands of dollars on a party again, it would look much different.

    So get out.

Meh. It's only money. What do dudes really need? A crappy apartment, a big TV, a recliner, some beer and some bologna.

Day of the wedding is better than just about any day after.

You'll lose any value gained from then in the cost of divorce.

You can. It's not the easiest thing to do, but I was thinking more along of the lines of you've been married a year and your wife is happy but you hate it. Good luck getting out of that without an attorney.
