Rumsfeld was asked about his lying today with regards to Iraq. He replied with a lie. Look at this exchange This is what Rumsfeld said.
"SEC. RUMSFELD: …We know where they are.... east, west, south and north somewhat." Now that's a pretty pinpoint location, lol.
so are you saying he didn't really know? or he had no idea where it was? why did he say "We know where they are" in the first place.. either way its still a lie
"SEC. RUMSFELD: …We know where they are.... Hayes, what is ambiguous about that statement? Members posting here get reamed for posting a definitive statement like that, that doesn't prove to be true, quite often. Now you, of all people, are trying to help Rummy weasel out of the foot he's parked in his mouth? Why so, dear Hayes?? Keep D&D Civil.
Y-A-W-N Didn't one of you guys say the Eddie Griffin was gonna be our 4 for the next decade? You lied.
Griffin shot at a girlfriend, giddy. Hardly the same as invading, devastating, and occupying a sovereign nation. Don't you think? Keep D&D Civil.
VIDEO: Rumsfeld Called Out On Lies About WMD Speaking in Atlanta today, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld was sharply questioned about his pre-war claims about WMD in Iraq. An audience member confronted Rumsfeld with his 2003 claim about WMD, “We know where they are.” Rumsfeld falsely claimed he never said it. The audience member then read Rumsfeld’s quote back to him, leaving the defense secretary speechless. No ****. I was about to say the same thing. Hayes makes jokes about it. Giddyup yawns. It's just so funny and/or boring to commit young men and women to die for a lie.
Well, excuuuuuuuuuuse me. Not sure who stuck corncobbs up your asses, but no one said "It's just so funny and/or boring to commit young men and women to die for a lie." It's pretty pathetic that you'd make such a wild extrapolation when I'm merely doing what many of you do on a daily basis - poking fun at the administration. So while I wasn't challenging FB's point - might as well get it out there for you humorless bastards to chew on. The full transcript leaves plenty of room for Rumsfeld's answer. FB left the next line of the interview out (well actually the .org site did) - he said: SEC. RUMSFELD: Not at all. If you think -- let me take that, both pieces -- the area in the south and the west and the north that coalition forces control is substantial. It happens not to be the area where weapons of mass destruction were dispersed. We know where they are. They're in the area around Tikrit and Baghdad and east, west, south and north somewhat. Second, the [audio glitch] facilities, there are dozens of them, it's a large geographic area. http://www.defenselink.mil/transcripts/2003/t03302003_t0330sdabcsteph.html 'Suspected,' which is what he claims he said would fit perfectly where the [audio glitch] happened. So I don't think you can say conclusively one way or the other. To Rumsfeld's credit the security was moving in on McGovern (the questioner) and Rumsfeld said 'No, let him stay.'
instead of captain semantics how about hypocritical hayes? rumsfeld clearly said he knows where they are.
