Sorry if it's already posted, but I didn't see any threads about this rumor... It was from a sports radio show in China a few days ago:

A pretty famous Chinese jounalist called Su Qun was one of the guests on the show and he said he and his buddies at Houston were trying to talk Yao into leaving Houston for the Lakers. According to him, Yao said he would consider that if the Rockets doesn't improve. But Yao's worried about Kobe's rep of not getting along with big men. Then this guy Su Qun called some media friends in LA to ask Kobe to show some love to Yao. He said (on Dec 31) he hoped Kobe could say some nice before the Rockets-Lakers game (Kobe did say "I love Yao" yesterday...)

I found it hard to believe .... what do you guys think?

If I were Yao, I would be disappointed too.

This team isn't built around him at all, no Mark Jackson type of point guard, no defensive power forward, no outside shooters, sigh...

    Lakers role players shooting:
    C. Butler 6-12
    C. Mihm 3-7
    C. Atkins 6-11
    B. Grant 2-3
    B. Cook 3-4
    T. Brown 2-4

    Rockets role player shooting:
    J. Howard 5-9
    B. Sura 7-14
    D. Wesley 1-7
    J. Barry 1-7
    D. Mutombo 1-2
    A. Barrett 1-1
    M. Taylor 4-6

No wonder Rockets are losing badly!

If I were Yao, I would be thinking VERY HARD too. Rockets have no PG, no shooters, no atheletic PF, and everybody is 30+ years old! Does Yao really want to spend another 7 years under JVG, who has turned him into a one-dimentional player?

I would be thinking VERY HARD!
