I'm not excited about Van being the color guy, but I can live with it. I'll miss Calvin, hopefully he can come back some time next year. ANYTHING BUT COOPER!!!
He has a strong southern twang to his voice, but is pretty knowledgeable about basketball(of course).
I don't like listening to Chancellor at all. It's gonna be tough to watch the games. Then again, unfortunately I'm up in Dallas, so I'll probably rarely get to see the local games anyway.....Oh yes, I just remembered how many times the Rockets are gonna be on national, that's awesome - around 20 games or so IIRC. Less listening to Van that way, so that's nice.
he has that tennessee/redneck(sorry for the term) accent if im not mistaken. but this sucks! i love the calvin murphy/bill worrell tandem. i think they are even better than the espn or any other nationwide color commentaries. i think its great they added bullard in the commentary line-up though.
I'm glad to hear it. He definitely has that Tennessee thing going, but he's got great knowledge, and I think he's got an awesome personality.

Cute, but until there is a legit source (media, etc), what you are posting is still a rumor. Not saying you are wrong, but we can't take anything for granted.

that's good to hear. Van's a funny dude and he'll bring his own sense of humor/twang to the table. Unlike Air Bull, who was really boring last year.
