As per title. According to Chinese hoop websites saying that he will report to one of the Chinese CBA teams in late October. Sucks to see him go
If it's true that really sucks. I think he belongs in the league. Too bad he is on a squad that is already loaded with undersized PFs. I still think he could be in the deep end of the playing rotation on a good team.
tis i hope not to be true. He was definitely a fan favorite and one of Adelman's boys. But I see this as a move just because of the clutter of his position. I see us keeping DJ Strawberry because he offers us size at the 2 in case Barry goes down.
Was always going to happen IMO, not much room when we have a glut of 3 & 4s on the roster. Hopefully he can find another team, he deserves it.
why is he going back to china? thought he had enough watching battier's commercial. he should just go to europe.
If he plays tomorrow, that means the Rockets still haven't made their decision and this rumor is false.
Unfortunately he was too redundant and didn't bring anything we don't already have to the table. Sad to see him go but it had to be done.
I'm still hoping he'll make the team, but I have a feeling it'll be him. Artest, Battier, and Tmac can all play SF. Scola, Landry, Hayes, and Dorsey can all play PF. It's an uphill battle for Harris. DJ and Wafer are battling for 3rd string, while he's battling for 4th.
im not gonna believe that chinese website. lets wait for something official. why would they cut him now anyways? they should at least play him through preseason.
well its saying that Mike might play in pre-season but be cut before regular season starts. Its early Oct anyways why not let him stay for a few more games to warm himself up. btw Mike Harris is an all star in CBA. They are thrived to have him back anytime
The salary of the 10 players listed on the Chron totalled $63.1M Add: Carl Landry $3M http://hoopshype.com/salaries/houston.htm Joey Dorsey $816,500 http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-player-salaries/team/Rockets/ Steve Francis $2,634,480 Justin Reed $1,573,000 Team salary would be an estimate of $71.12398M LT is $71.15M Previously the Chron had been reporting the Rockets are well over LT but these new estimates don't seem to suggest that. Trading Head for Diener would leave around 368K of salary space which would allow the Rockets to sign Deke around mid-season. Trading Head for a TE would allow for a 15 man squad including Deke on a pro-rated contract or some flexibility to add a free agent if there are injuries.
Looks like the Chinese fans are pretty psyched to have him back, but I'm not sure who that Chinese poster is. It sounds kind of weird for the date to already be pegged at October 22. Unless his being cut is a done deal and will happen like . . . tomorrow. . . . Hope not!
Noooooooo I love Mike, makes you wonder why he just does not try out for the Knicks or something...................we have the most depth in the league.... Strawberry and Wafer need to go first imo...........
