Boston needs big man. Actually Danny boy is trying to totally destroy the Celtics and rebuild the team. Can we offer Cato + CM + future picks for Pierce?

We can! And he will say NO!

Maybe SF3 and Cato and whatever for PP and Vin Baker's voidable contract. Maybe no.

They might trade for Steve. Boston is looking for an up-tempo kind of a game. I think it would be great for Houston, Pierce is a stud.

I live in Boston and watch some Celtics games. Last night it was obvious that PP lost interest in the game. He was not even looking for his shots any more.

PP is number three in field goals attempted, and has more turnovers than any player in the league, including SF.

    Hell and No

Better question: do we want him? He would be even less compatible with Yao than Steve is. Pierce was the #1 cancer on that miserable failure of a Worlds team. I'll stick with Francis, thanks.

The reason that PP has that many TOs and took that many shots is that he was the only gun on the Celtics team. I think that Yao-PP-SF3(Cat) can work wonders and will be an immediate contender in the West.

Why do we need him, exactly? I mean, he's a stud and all, but I thought our top needs were a true pg and a stud 4. We've already got a stud 2 who is a fantastic defender, awesome first step and excellent shot.

The guys is the league leader in tunrovers. Do we really need another player that turns the ball over that often?

Paul Pierce 6'6, 26 yrs old

    2001- 26.1 PPG, 44.2% FG, 80.9% FT, 6.9 REB, 3.2 AST, 2.9 TO, 1.9 STL, 1.1 BLK

    2002- 25.9 PPG, 41.6% FG, 80.2% FT, 7.3 REB, 4.4 AST, 3.6 TO, 1.8 STL, 0.8 BLK

    2003- 23.0 PPG, 40.4% FG, 83.8% FT, 6.6 REB, 5.3 AST, 4.1 TO, 1.7 STL, 0.7 BLK

Better scorer than Steve. But I can't imagine why Ainge would want to trade him.

Paul Pierce is killing my fantasy team. 4 points last night? Argh...

I thinks he wants out of Boston since they traded his buddy Walker. I say we give them Cato + Boki for Pierce (I realize this probably doesn't work, but damn it, Dallas pulled off LaFrentz + Welsch for Walker + Delk).

Pierce would be a lot more effective with a low post presence. Getting a Ray Allen or Paul Pierce (guys that can stretch defenses with the long range shot) would be ideal with a low post player such as Yao.

He might not be having his best season this year, but I still consider him top 12 players in the NBA. He can pass, rebound, and defend better than Ray Allan. But Ray shoots a higher %. Still Pierce over Allan though.

Not sure if I would do this one, but I am pretty sure Boston would do it.

ouston trades: PF Maurice Taylor (11.9 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 1.3 apg in 28.1 minutes)
    C Kelvin Cato (6.1 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 0.9 apg in 26.8 minutes)
SG Cuttino Mobley (15.4 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 3.4 apg in 39.6 minutes)
Houston receives: C Raef LaFrentz (7.8 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 1.4 apg in 19.3 minutes)
SG Paul Pierce (23.4 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 5.3 apg in 38.5 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -2.2 ppg, -6.0 rpg, and +1.1 apg.

Boston trades: C Raef LaFrentz (7.8 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 1.4 apg in 19.3 minutes)
SG Paul Pierce (23.4 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 5.3 apg in 38.5 minutes)
Boston receives: PF Maurice Taylor (11.9 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 1.3 apg in 46 games)
    C Kelvin Cato (6.1 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 0.9 apg in 51 games)
SG Cuttino Mobley (15.4 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 3.4 apg in 52 games)
Change in team outlook: +2.2 ppg, +6.0 rpg, and -1.1 apg.

    TRADE ACCEPTED

Due to Houston and Boston being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Houston and Boston had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

ofcourse he scores more. He is a good player on a crappy team. He is the only star on the team. If steve was on the celtics, he would put up beter numbers. Steve with the rockets, has to share with yao and mobley, even Mo. HE also is the pg of the team. He doesnt have the chance to put up 20 shots. He also has to look t create for other players.

" In the West, the fight for the conference crown will be fierce. The Sacramento Kings, Spurs, Lakers and Minnesota Timberwolves all have legitimate shots at a title this season, with the Dallas Mavericks and Houston Rockets not far behind. Meanwhile, the Memphis Grizzlies and Denver Nuggets will continue their improbable runs toward the playoffs. " said by steve Kerr at yahoo website.

Well, although Rockets have not been consistent, outside looks more impressed by their performance, although they have the same records as Memphis and Denvev have. Maybe they have two stars, maybe they just beated lakes.

So better keep this team for rest of season, to see what they can do before click the trigger.

Bye the way, how Ainge got his director job again. He did a rousy job in pheonix a few years back. Because he is white? Ia's amazing to me, I think I can do better than him, or all Rockets fan can do a bette job than him.
