I'm sick of hearing people put down Rudy T.'s draft selections. Besides passing up on Rashard Lewis last year, I'm pretty content. I'd like all of those non-believers to name one team that has done as much or more with their draft selections in the past few years. Keep in mind, the Rockets have had some of the lowest 1st round picks, due to their prolific playoff attendance. I'd look at a team like the Bulls or the Jazz, who have had similiar, if not better draft picks than the Rockets. The Bulls haven't drafted anyone worth mentioning since Scottie (if he's even worth mentioning). The Jazz have wasted picks on Ostertag, Vaughn and Eisley (who I like, but never use). Seattle, San Antonio and Phoenix have all done about the same as well. I'd say the exception to this rule is the Lakers, where West is a genius. My point is that every team gambles a bit during draft day. Some pay off (like Garnett or Kobe), some fail. But if you think Rudy's guesses are any worse than anyone else's in the same period of time with similar picks, I'd like to see some examples.
There are no examples because there aren't any teams better at drafting, save for maybe LA, Utah, and/or Phoenix. BTW -- Rashard Lewis was drafted in the 2nd round. I get tired of people dogging the Rockets for not taking that kid in the middle of the first. If LA, Utah, Houston, and Phoenix all pass on you in the 1st round, chances are you're not worth it.

He is the benefactor of playing with the best PG in the league & he still hasn't shown consistent play. He should have stayed in school. He'll soon become a free agent & command a larger contract which the Sonics might hesitate (or anybody else) to sign him. ------------------ Ciao!
I seriously doubt that the Sonic or any other team are going to pass on such a athletic player as Lewis. He is playing behind Ruben Patterson ( who many expect to recieve the most improved award ) and guys like ho Grant.....Lewis has never really gotten alot of mins I dont have his avg infront of me, but i check his numbers after every game, and i think he is around 5 points a game in like only 11 mins a game...thats a point every 2 mins...give him 25-30 mins a game and you could just might get 15 points a game with around 8-10 boards...thats not 2 bad for a 2nd rounder or a mid 1st round pick.
