In the begining of the season, alot of people including myself were alarmed at Rudy's apperent coaching of Griffin. Alot of us were questioning Griffin only taking and practicing jump shots from the three point line. After watching Griffin recently I just want to praise what a great job Rudy is doing with Griffins talent. Rudy does the best job of any coach to bring out the best in each of his young players. Not enough praise of his skills as a coach come out in this forum.

I still don't like the way he uses Griffin. He has a good stroke, but watching Walker play, with the exception of the shot blocking is kind of like watching Eddie. Although Walker can put it on the floor and go by most 4's in the league, he prefers to launch 3's and shoot 37% from the field.

Except for the fact that Griff isn't shooting anywhere close to 37%.

Wakko, i know, I'm just saying that i could see hoisting 3's and missing them some games. I remember earlier in the season walker went 0-11 from 3pt range, then he backdoored that with 30 the next night. Walker is one of the most talented 4's in the league and he puts up numbers, but I don't think you can mentionb him with Duncan,Garnett, Webber, Malone or even McDyess as far as that goes. He can fill a box with asst, rebs, and pts, but his shot selection sux. I'm not saying I want Griffin to pass up shots, but shooting a lot of 3's seems to make your pct fluctuate. Instead of launching from 23ft, I would like to see him get shots consistently from 17ft and in, like Duncan,Garnett , and Webber. I guess i can't be too picky, at least Rudy finally decided to play him.

I agree. I would like for him get more inside looks, but I don't mind him taking it outside from time to time.

Leeb, Griff is shooting well over 60% from behind the arc the last 5 games. As long as he shoots like that, I don't care where he shoots it. He's taken over 20 shots in this stretch.

This is not a good time to criticize Griff's shot selection, percentage, or Rudy's use of him. Right now, Rudy looks like a genius again.
