I want to know from all you rockets fans which Rudy T move was worse.

My vote goes for keeping Moochie in instead of Shandon Anderson. I would say that if you whould have had Shandon in last night for the last 4 min the game was ours.

As much as Rudy preaches about how defense wins games, it's obvious by the people who are on the floor in crunch time that he has his mind in the offensive clouds.

If the offense is bogged down, Mooch often picks it up and scores quickly. I didn't work last night, so the finger-pointers show up the next day.

This is the most legitimate question of the day. The fact is not one person on this board can answer this question. And Cohen's explanation is weaker than a Dan Langhi pick.

Lets see we have two ball handlers in Mobley and Francis and elect to have another 6-1 point guard, basically, manning the small forward position. For what? Why force Mobley to guard a 6-8 MArion and force Walt to be an interior defender and rebounder? This is the number one question on this board and it cannot be rationalized. This is why the game was lost last night -- period. Not because mobleys flame fickered or Francis's was never reignited. It was because Mobley was forced to guard Marion and Williams was forced to be our defensive rebounder and power foward defender all for the sake of having Moochie on the court. Why?

Cohen: it's all a matter of comparative advantage.

What does each player bring to the table? Wht does each player possess that teammates don't?

Francis and Mobley can score. Moochie does this nicely at times, but he's not the only one that can do it.

Anderson can play terrific D. Francis and Mobley aren't precisely experts on this end. Bottom line- Moochie's slight advantage in ball control does not outweigh Anderson's defense and size.

Anderson, then, brings a more unique element than Moochie, and should be the guy on the court. He's also larger... which is always a plus since the Rocks are undersized to begin with.

Rudy likes to go small ball. Too bad Phoenix has been playing small ball for so many years now, they know what to do in that situation.

The starters should be on the court in crunch time. Mo, starting center, Shandon, Mobley, Stevie. That is the best lineup on the team, so they should be playing. Keeping Moochie in, and taking Anderson was a dumb move. Not just for defense, but for offense. 4 straight posessions Moochie dribbled the ball for about 22 seconds each time. That killed the offense.

From an offensive stand point, though, I think Shandon only had 1 point. I may be wrong, but still, take that for what it's worth.

I normally don't dog on Rudy, but at the last defensive play of the game, he should have had the best defensive unit out there...I just didnt' get why shandon wasn't out there instead of walt...walt was in la la land when Kidd drove the ball...either double up all the way or stay with your damn man..

I think his worst move of the night was not getting on the floor and kicking the referees' asses right then and there.

What's the matter with you guys? You have such short memories. Matt Bullard is on IR. Otherwise, just like in the first half of the season, he would be in there in the fourth quarter putting the clamps down, smothering anything that stumbled into him, grabbing every defensive board that came right his way. Crunch time defense, baby. Parked right over there on IR.
