best feeling being back to talk on 610: #1 getting Glen and Mo??? back, not completely healthy (no ****). Glen had great recent practices. Best shooting practices today. Mo is ready to go Saturday. Feel Mo's presence on the floor...immediate impact. Maurice: Slow there for awhile. Lot of weight lifting. Not losing weight. Lot of sacrifice and a lot of work. Call about TMo...caller wanted to know about improvement vs the Memphis game and last year. blah blah blah...great Maryland soph player...blah blah blah....uh...Rudy please fastforward to the present... we were able to get him in the second round....we didn't see consistency....now I see more consistency in practice...he had 2 or 3 days like that in practice...I empathize cause yr 2 and 3 are big difference....TMo really fits in...not only is he a shooter (what???????, a shooter) commercial more after commercial...I'm on hold...give me a question...I'm thinking of the whole Jerry West dismissing Eddie as a 4.
woohoo got in the first question...but not a follow up. I guess you are supposed to cut in before the interviewer does, on the following up. He said that he welcomes the switches on Griffin...bring it...he's so verstaile and Kenny is too.
no talk of anyone but Francis, Boki and token Yao comments. He most definitely pronounced Boki and Bo key, and said that is what they call him. So, feel free to call him that in person...apparently. Is that important?? He said a lot about the offense on my question that he said in the paper...popping out ... backpicks, downpicks....that the High pick n Roll was a keeper play, and expect it to remain....that Griffin is really good at it...I tried to chime in with, "Oh, 24-high, nice play for Francis, and I also noticed in the Memphis game a double pick for him with Mobley making the pass...but was already shut out and speaking to myself on the phone at that point.... I suck....talk too much...why did I thank Rudy for all my happiness and that unforgettable skinny dipping night after the 7th game. I need a celebriduck present for the host to get in a follow up question, apparently Also, I wasn't at a keyboard, because I'd feel like a dork talking to Coach while staring at a thread on the BBS about the conversation. So, don't have notes. Someone asked about Hakeem, and some grudge comment about the DIT offense. blah blah blah
funny how wafting on and on about basketball turns around and bites you on the butt HeyP when the such a great opportunity presents itself ............................................. get to the point!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hey, they surprised me being the first caller...I wasn't ready...so I drifted into getting on my hands and knees and praising Coach and talking about Kenneally's....lol!!! Next time...the real question, "So, Coach, what does Kapaya mean, and will your talking bobblehead be more understandable?"
haha someone said something like.. the rockets had alot of talent that they can use all 15 players and the radio dude said... "i disagree when jason colliers on the court" bwahhahah ok i thought that was funny lol
Good show overall. I think having two hosts, Charley and Rich, helps a lot. It kept the show flowing with questions from both as opposed to one host like 950 had. Charley came up with some good questions and it seemed to keep Rudy from nodding off and rambling as he seemed to do last year. os
Smeg, Rudy did say heypartner had a very nice observation. He seemed to really enjoy answering that question. I was hoping you'd get in second question as well but I guess they counted the Kinnelleys Rudy encoutner as the first part of a two parter.
wow, heypartner, that was you? i remember thinking to myself when rudy t came on, "nobody cares about the Rockets. 610 listeners don't care about the Rockets and rarely call in to talk about them," then thought to myself, jokingly, "i bet the only ones that will call in to this show are cc.netters, haha, hehe, ehe, hmmmmm." well well well, turns out it was true! at least for the first caller!
That might have been true...BEFORE the Yao Ming hype began. They've had a steady stream of Rockets calls since aquiring the #1 pick. os
was heypartner the guy who asked..about the rockets even tho they were talking about the NFL? the terrence morris question right?
HP, I was listening when you asked the question about the Grizzlies switching the 3 and 4 on the defensive end. Then Rudy said "good observation" and went on to say how vesatile Griffin is and that he sees him playing more in the post, as well as the quick pick'n'roll out of the 5 man offense. By the way you have a nice voice
