Rudy T did have some pretty bad taste in drafting players at high pick. Look at how he screwed up the Rockets by giving New Jersey 3 first rounders (one of which is Richard Jefferson) for a piece of unproductive junk. His name is Eddie Griffin, a so-called power forward who can't defend, can't shoot and has been too lazy to go into low post games. He's giving Rockets a bad reputation similarly to the bad boys at Indiana, as well as the Portland JailBlazers. He's just done everything from drug possession to MIA in team practices and just today according to the Houston Chronicle, the allege beating and shooting at her girl friend. Rudy T, you did a terrible job.
Can we please stop having the same exact post twice a day? In hindsite, Griffin didn't work out, but there wasn't a person here, or probably anywhere else that thought at the time it was a bad deal for the Rockets.

And oh, for your info, Rockets' 1st rounder in 1998, Michael Dickerson, who Rudy T drafted and gave up, has just announced his retirement from the NBA. Dare i mention last season's 15th pick for Boki...basically a perimeter player who can't shoot in the summer league and preseason, which is an implication that he can't do it once the regular season starts. Just how many first rounders were wasted by Rudy T? Yeah, I may sound a bit "unfriendly" or "mean" on Rudy, but reality is always cruel.
Damn that Rudy T. He should have known that Dickerson would retire due to chronic injuries 5 years after he drafted him. He should have known that Griffin would end up quitting on the team and shooting at his girlfriend 3 years after he drafted him. I hate Rudy T.
Well, just like other coaches, when a player gets drafted, the gambling gets started. In Rockets' case(s), Rudy T is just a terrible gambler that's all.

Damn that Rudy T. How could he pass on Baby Jordan (Harold Minor) and draft an un heard of Robert Horry? If the Rockets didnt draft Eddie high, than somebody else would have. Everybody thought Eddie was a stud coming out of college, you cant fault Rudy for the kid not having the drive/maturiy or whatever you wanna call it.
Cat is clearly one of the best second round players in the last decade...period. Selfish you say? curious statement since he has been asked to change his role almost every year. PG to 6th man to primary scoring option to role player. Cat's work ethic is legendary and he is a pure basketball junkie. And yes he is a gunner. So your saying the Steve is an untalented and bad decision. That response has been noted and basically removes all credibility from you. I guess you think Elton Brand is better? Oh year he has yet to make a post season appearance as well. Bradley diserves no respect. So I guess you are going to tip toe around this one. If you think Cato is just starting to play well this year then you clearly have not been watching the Rockets. Cato was very good last year as well. Clearly the best back up 5 in the league.
