He need tell SF and Cat to either pass the ball or play in another place. Rockets can use that money to get two good team ball players. That's the only way to win the championship.
I am talking about the championship. If the playoff is all they want, then forget about it. If not, sooner or later, Rudy has to solve this problem.
I agree about complaining when we lose. Besides, Franics is averaging 29 points and shooting 49 percent from the floor in the first three games. What in GOD'S NAME is wrong with that??? Mobley frustrates the hell out of me. I'll admit it. He drives me nuts. But, Francis is THE star of this team. Like any other star, he not only deserves the green light, we WANT HIM TO HAVE IT. That's why we have him in the first place.
We are too young to contend for the title. You can't insult superstars for not being able to lead their team to the finals, in their 4th year. There are so many other stars that can't lead their respective teams to the finals. The Rockets are young and an up and coming team. We will contend in a few years.
We didn't have a good passing team win we won it with Hakeem. Hakeem was probably the best passer on the team with Kenny and Vernon both being average at best. To win a championship you have to find a way to exploit the other team's defense and play a little D of your own. I'm more concerned about us consistently providing good defensive performances than I am with Steve and Cat's passing. I would still prefer they passed more, but I think when EG and Ming develop there will be more overall ball movement. Can you really argue with the way Steve shot the ball today?
This is stupid. Why? Why complain win we win? Why would you complain period, instead of thinking of something positive for your gripe after a win, you come in here and say Rudy sux. C'mon dog, we won.

MJ was once called a ball hog. Olajuwon was often criticized for being a black hole in the post. They learned, but it took time.

Francis' 49% is awesome. He is playing terrific. I agree with you 100%. Mobley frustrated the hell out of me too. He guns everytime he gets the ball. Steve does deserve the green light. That is why I think that he is better then Iverson, because Ivy has the green light and is shooting 35% from the floor. Steve is shooting 49%. He ran circles around the Raptors' guards. He made Hunter look stupid on a couple plays.

I don't mind the Rudy bashing, because I think that he is a bad coach, but the Steve bashing is crazy. 49% shooting is great.

My critic is not based just for this instant but rather something that needs fixing for the Season. We won't go anywhere without Team Basketball.
I've been saying Rudy sucks forever. More and more people are starting to realize that he is just not that good of a coach. I believe the Rockets can be good but it will take Rudy changing his whole philosophy of running this team before they can be great again.
Rudy is a bad coach? I have 9 things for you: We won, we're 2-1, and Rudy has 2 championship rings. Bad coaches don't take teams to the conference finals 3 out of 4 years and win 2 championship rings. People can say that Rudy only won because of Hakeem all they want, then you would have to say Chuck Daley is a bad coach because he only won because of Isiah and Dumars, or that Riley is a bad coach, he only won because of Magic, Worthy and Kareem, or Re Auerbach only won because of Russell, or Phil Jackson only won because of Jordan, Pippen, Shaq and Kobe. Bottomline Rudy is a damn good coach. He took a team that kept missing the playoffs and got them to believe in each other and put together a dynasty. He took a young team who lost a HOF PF, and had another HOF player who was disgruntled and fashioned a 45 win team with it. While most other championship coaches bail for a winning team Rudy is here trying to rebuild this team and is doing a good job injuries aside. Rudy is doing what any good coach would do, letting this team mature, learn from their mistakes, teaching them, and trying to fashion a winning squad out of a young team. This team isn't going to use ISO forever, tonight showed that even though they used it in stretches, they're not going to use it much once the frontcourt comes along. But you guys have to give this team time to grow before proclaiming they won't win anything with the offense and Rudy is a bad coach.
Seems to me too many people are concerned with iso's...it's not goin away and plenty of other teams use it besides the Rockets...it IS effective, if you don't use it all the time, and the Rockets DID NOT use it all the time tonight. I couldn't agree more. I'm getting soo sick of people saying he sucks - even when they played a GREAT game and won. If it's not Rudy sucks, it's Francis/Mobley suck, or its something about iso...or a combination of all three. We WON tonight, we played an AWESOME game (save for the 4th quarter)...even Bill and Calvin commented on how the ball was being distributed more evenly and the scoring was better balanced. So, please, stop complaining so much!
