C'mon Rudy, this is his national debut and a lot of us around the country have yet to see the big fella play. I am psyched for the game!

he has been getting around 12-15 minutes per game...and his play was a little better last night. I think RT will probably stay with the 15 minutes per...maybe a few more if he is playing well again...is that enough for you?

It does not matter to me who gets the minutes as long as we win.

Ming got 10-15 minutes last night. Griffin was playing very well. Ming will get his time later in the season.

I think Rudy is handeling Ming perfectly. He is not tireing him out. We have a pretty good starting center. And Ming I think is playing pretty good now as a back up so there is not to much pressure on him because he knows there is Cato to help him out.

Now a normal number 1 draft pick might have to play a lot more and be tired at the end of the season, and remeber he has also not had a break for a couple of years. So I dont think you could ask for a better situation then the one that Ming would need.
So cheers to Rudy... and Cato.

I am not trying to debate whether he is used correctly or not. It's just wishful thinking from a fan that has yet to see Yao Ming play. I'll take the 15 minutes but if he is doing well during the game, do you think Rudy might give him an additonal 10 minutes? I guess Cato will be back for the game.

I think there is a good chance Ming won't play much Friday night. The Suns have only been playing one true center in their rotation (Jake T.), and he only gets 17 minutes a game. My guess is that Rudy will give most of the backup center minutes to the forwards.

KT vs. Marion will be the matchup to watch, IMO. I think that the matchup will be closer that most people suspect - I wouldn't be shocked if KT outplays Marion.

Yea, but Ming's last line was:

7 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 blocked shot, no fouls and two turnovers in 15 minutes. Oh yeah, and 100% from the field and the line.

If he plays like that in Phoenix, he'll play a while. Might be 10 minutes or 20, but he'll play.

    David.

Ok,,so the Suns dont have much of a center...what's new?
I dont see RT giving all the center minutes to the forwards..
Why use forwards when he has two perfectly decent centers to man the spot..
I would think that he could use the matchup advantage by playin his normal center rotation..Cato start, Yao in at the 6 min mark..and see if we can get some good board work going..

Cato has been a monster on the glass so far..and YM is coming out of his offensive slump...I really think he's due a good game...

I stick with my previous statement...Yao will get his normal 12-15 minutes, with added time if the matchup is to our advantage or he is playin good..Cato will also get his normal time..hopefully the death in the family won't effect his play cause so far he has been pretty damn good..

I was very happy to see Yao playing so well against Portland. If Rudy is true to his style, then he should let players continue playing more if they are doing well on the court. I thought that Yao could have played a little longer last night. Hope to see he continues to do well in Phoenix and get his minutes extended some.
