Straight from the horses mouth: "I dont care at all how many shots or rebounds a player gets, thats not improtant." [so long as he's moving without the ball] Wow! This is great news for the coming season. And to think I use to believe them damn isoaltions and clear-outs were Rudy's special new babies. What this latest quote says to me is: Hello, Bokie and Ming. Adios Cato and Moochie. No more Rucker park crap -- yes!

we are supposed to see a new offence this year anyway. i cant remeber what it was called...."hectagon....octagon...some math term.
Um, if 5 players somehow form a shape with six corners, they are definitely going to be moving a lot without the ball.
LOL, thumbs! I hope you're right. Last year, the rox jumpshots dented the rim into the shape of a hexagon.
What's wrong with Rucker play in the game? I don't mind it... when we're up by 20. Remember how Steve and Mooch did the 76ers a few years back. That was tight, even Philly's fans were cheering even though they lost by 28.
I'm excited about the new hexagon offense...I don't understand the dynamics but I heard Ming will play into it well!
So do you guys take this quote to mean that Rudy was never a real big proponent of isolation basketball the previous years? And Now that we acquired Ming and Nachbar, players who seem to move well without the ball, that there'll be more movement in the offense? I do and this makes me that much more excited about the upcoming season. man i cant wait!
Whoa, whats with this hexagon offense? I thought young guys were just joking at first. Sounds pretty exciting, I better do quick search and see what this hexagon offense is all about.
As far as I'm aware, its no joke. From what was written in the Chronicle, it was supposed to be used last year, but that went out of the window with the injuries. I've only heard speculation about how it is used. I would guess its main goal is to get open shots with the recent signings of Mo and Rice.
If Rudy has everybody moving more, it's all for the better. I don't think the clear out stuff is going to win a ring without a Jordan or Hakeem in his prime. I was thinking that if Ming keeps his feet really far apart, he could probably form two of the six vertices for the hexagon. Okay, I promise I'll quit with the stupid geometry jokes.
Wow, that means the ball is not in any player's hands? Maybe the referee is the sixth man! So Phil Jackson is actually running a rectangle offense.
Yall took alot out of that little bit of information. I will have to wait and see about this new whatever offense they plan on using. Personally, he would be a fool not to try to exploit Ming down low first, rookie or not. Once Ming Post up and gets the ball, its almost unfair. With this, it only opens gaping holes for the rest of the team.
