This guy is a hussle player with great athletic ability who can also rebound very nicley. You could move Bowen back to the bench and start Tmac at the 2 gaurd and Patterson at SF. You keep the youth of Head,SWift and Anderson coming in off the bench. Give me your thoughts? Go Rockets!!!

Patterson would be a great addition to this team. He's a strong, tough player that this team is currently lacking. I'd do a Wesley for Patterson straight up, I'd throw in a 2nd rounder as well.

Glyde- I wouldn't take that quote that seriously, I think it was more of a warning to his own players. But besides slapping around his wife, what other problems has Patterson had?

it's been discussed here already. it doesn't have a chance of happening because the guy can't shoot.

I really think Van Gundy's comments about boneheads has to do with on court boneheads. I really think he's talking about players like MoT that would not buy in to what he wanted to do on the court, would not defend or rebound, or work on that aspect of their games. I don't really think it has to do with off court issues. He coached Spree and he has professed his love for Artest's play, saying he would take 12 Artests on his team. He didn't say he wanted them to live at his house, but he wants them on his team, because they leave it all on the floor, and he feels like he could win with them.

Don't forget that he's a registered sex offender, because of forcing himself on his kid's nanny. He's also quit on the Blazers several times in the last couple of years, because he's not getting the playing time he wants.

Yeah, the Nanny had it coming. At least he didn't rough her up to bad like Kobe did. Just tell Yao to get some soap on a rope and he'll fit in fine. :D

She probably got in his face about the Nanny incident. Kobe's wife knows better than to get in his face no matter how many girls he's accused of raping. Kobe will hold her down by the neck and take what he wants! :D

When I watched Patterson play the other night I couldn't help but thinking he brings some things that the Rockets could use, but the idea of adding a registered sex offender to our team made me somewhat nauseated.

    Drugs? Sure.

    Assault? Why not?

    Unlawful Possession of Firearms? Absolutely.

Rape? I gotta draw the line.

    Are you serious?

I'm not sure if I've ever posted on this board, but this seems as good a thread as any to start. If the Rockets get Patterson I'd struggle to watch another game while he was in uniform. He's a sick individual and his incident with the nanny is disgusting. Chasing her across the house and forcing himself on her. Then he beats his wife? Please say no to Ruben Patterson.
