WTF is the ref thinking when he reviews the play? Its extremely obvious when viewed in slow motion that about .2 or .3 seconds don't pass off the clock when Roy touches the ball. The clock starts a couple of .1 seconds before he releases the ball, not when he touches it. Can Clutch or someone make a youtube clip of the last shot? This is ridiculous. Maybe if you take off the .3 seconds the shot still counts but regardless I can't stand to see things like this happen.
there was still 0.8 sec when the ball was in the air there was still 0.8 sec when the ball was in the air! while Yao shot that ball I noticed that that clock stopped at .8 on the replay. WHAT THE HELL????? Watch the replay and you see the clock on the top of the backboard and the ball was still in the air. which means the clock shouldve stopped around .3-.5 they need to review it
they never even showed a half decent replay, but the ball was about halfway to the basket when the light came on so i'm gonna guess it didn't start in time. probably still got it off.
I believe the Celtics staff started the clock late. WTH, 0.8 for a catch and turn-around shot???? Doesn't make any sense.
Not to mention after the Rockets took the lead with about 40 seconds left, the clock did not start running for Portland until a few seconds after they brought it upcourt. Conspiracy!
No use complaining. Its a tough loss but hopefully we can build on it. At least Adelman knows he can keep Brooks in to finish out games. No more f-ing Rafer Alston.
Get over yourself. With .8 that is enough time to catch and shoot. Yao should of never been on the ball in the first place. Heck of a shot give credit to Roy and go to bed.
.8 seconds is enough time to get off A shot, just not ROY's shot. Look at how long he took. Probably a second or more to get that ball out of his hands.
I got out of bed and came back to my computer to post this same thought. When the ball leaves Yao's hands, the clock stops at .08. WTF is THAT?!??!?!
First of all, .8 is PLENTY of time. Yao took 1.1 to make a turn around jumper from the post. Fisher got a shot off in .4 in the playoffs once. Second of all, if it was borderline, you should call it good. As much as I wanted the Rockets to win that game, you can't call a shot like that off unless there is conclusive evidence.
