This kid is amazing he has to be the Rookie of the Year. Amare
is purely brute and skills . He bank that shot without any thought.
I knew Yao would get it but now if the votes are not in by now.
We all know who will get it!

Umm...baby shaq (Eddie Curry) is not even a rookie.

Vlade Divac said it the best. Teams plan to stop Yao Ming when they play the Rockets. They worry about him or Steve Francis first. Teams do not worry and therefore focus their defense on stopping Amare Stoudamire. He is the fourth player they worry about on that team. The kid is good no doubt, but right now he is not even in the same league as Yao Ming.

The Suns management of course will not admit it, but if the Rockets were to offer Yao Ming (for some retarted ass reason) for Amare Stoudamire the Suns would accept it in a heart beat.

Great centers win championships, not great power forwards. Of course the Suns know as much about great centers as I know about Micro Biology. And their championship counts proves that:

    Amen.

Teams go out looking to stop Yao Ming from slaughtering them. They don't give a rat's ass about stopping Stoudemire for two simple reasons:

    Marbury

    Marion

Phoenix has a sh!tload of firepower.

Wake your own ass up dumb ass.

    Yao Ming:

13.5 pts 8.2 reb 1.7 ast .38 stl 1.79 blk .498 FG% 81 FT% while playing 29 mpg. This is while teams focus solely on stopping Yao Ming. Instead of telling us to to wake up, why dont you actually try refute the argument.

    Amare Stoudamire:

13.5 pts 8.8 reb 1.0 ast .76 stl 1.06 blk .472 FG% 66 FT% while playing a little over 31 min per game. His field goal percentage is kind of low for a guy that can't do anything besides dunk yet. And some of his dunks are the biggest bricks mankind has ever seen. If San Antonio focused solely on stopping Amare (like teams do with Yao most of the time) the kid will average about 5-6 pts while being a complete non factor. Yao Ming can still be a little effective because he is already one of the best passers from the center position.

Good luck in the playoffs this year Suns fans, but you guys aint winning jack **** the future. You guys will be good with Marbury and Amare just like you were with Barkley and KJ, but never good enough. In the playoffs you'll always get your ass handed to you by Yao Ming.

Like I've said before. Amare played 2 more minutes than Yao. In 2 minutes Yao could easily grab 1 to 2 more rebounds, which would easily give him the edge for ROY.

Co-Rookie is about to be honored NBA told Yao not to leave country just yet.

So why doesn't Ming average between 24-48 rebounds per 48 minutes?
And why is he at home watching Amare punish the Spurs?

It's fairly obvious that Ming and Stoudemire will be Co-ROYs...

Slinslin: I'll give you one more reason that you are wrong.

A basketball player player can do three things:

    1. Shoot
    2. Pass
    3. Play defense

Assuming that their offense is equal, if their shots were off, I would want Amare on the bench, but I would still play Yao because he still contributes through passing and defensive intimidation. To break it down further, Yao is a better shooter (.500 to .472 shooting, .807 to .663 FT%), a better passer (1.7 apg to 1.0), and a better defender (more defense rebounds and more blocked shots (150 to 90).

To answer your question, Amare is in the playoffs because the Suns had a little more talent and experience and won a couple more close games.

May not be co-ROY considering votes ended at April 17th, two days before Amare's game.

When I said baby shaq,I meant amare. All year I have been torn as to who is better. The rocket fans argument here convinced me ming is better.(although slightly).

What I like about ming is his passing skills and high iq. With the low iq players we have, ming fits us better than amare would. Ming is also multifacited whereas amare can only dunk and hit a lucky three.

right now I would take ming, but in 3 years,if amare develops a good jump shot,Id take amare. Ming has peaked,(if he gets bigger he'll get slower) where as amare still has alot of room to grow and he is awsome already.

We did draft the right guy,but in 4 years, when both contracts are up,I might sign amare instead.

ask yourself this question, remember akeem at age 20 as a freshman, and now amare. Who is better? amare is probably better.

Akeem at 22(rookie) had way better stats than ming. Lets just wait till amare is 22 to see who is better at age 22. Ming has had 2 extra years to develop than amare.

Also,I predict the suns will win the entire championship this year. Yes,I really do. The lakers dont scare me,and sac/lakers/mavs one of them will eliminate one another. The suns will sweep spurs, then beat lakers and face sac. At that point its anybodys game.

Divac cant handle amare's brute. neither can bradley,or duncan. Shaq will be doubled, and marion will terrorize the lakers. I think the finals will be suns/pacers.

HTF can a rookie have "peaked" already? Do you know anything about basketball? Ming doesn't necesarily have to get bigger. The game will slow down for him (means he wont be as nervous and excited) next year. He will know how the league works. Plus I am sure he can afford to gain about 10-15 lbs of pure muscle without significantly slowing down.

LOL! The Suns all the way!! Thats a good one! :D
