That's right, folks. The 2nd best pitcher in baseball, and heir apparent to Pedro Martinez as the Greatest, is up for grabs.

If you want this fine young specimen of exemplary domination, let me know.

But here's the catch, ladies and gentlemen. Oswalt ain't goin' for peanuts. Want to float an offer that you think might steal him for you? Don't bother.

I'm looking for a stud young pitcher in return. Preferably one guy who's not too much of a downgrade from Oswalt. And maybe a reliever as a throw-in to make up the difference, since if you're not offering me Pedro, it's an uneven deal. I also don't want anyone currently below AAA. After the flop of Jake Dittler, I'm just not willing to risk trading the 2nd best pitcher in baseball for an iffy prospect.

I'd also consider taking two very good, but not great pitchers... like BGM's Ramos and Zito.

So, who wants the next 300 game winner?

I could give Shawn Estes as the main part of the deal, with others involved. Let me know what else it would take.

Matt Morris and Javier Vazquez are available, two of the better young pitchers around. I also have four of the top closers in the game: Billy Wagner, Kazuhiro Sasaki, Steve Karsay, and Jeff Shaw. I also have a very good AAA reliever in Blake Williams. Let me know if you have interest...

    dhr: no chance

Nomar: I'd be interested in Jon Rauch + Derek Lowe + H. Manners

That seems like a lot, but Oswalt really is almost as good as Pedro, and Rauch will be an all-star, but not the perennial cy young type.

Cat: I might consider Morris and DeWitt.
