Whats going on with him? It can't just be poor matchups...I mean, this guy was killing it for the first half of the season. Can anyone diagnose his problem? Confidence? Injuries? Monstars?
meh, I never thought he was a dominant talent but I do agree that his performance has plummeted from serviceable center to useless bench warmer.
His defense is good, when his head is on right. Hibbert was not great to begin with ... he only gets hype, because he plays out of his mind against the Heat and woefully undersized teams who lack 3 point shooting. http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/h/hibbero01/splits/2014/
They are in recovery from their grossly under-performing centers at the moment... they need a moment to breath.
He was never that good. Got hyped against Miami because he took advantage of their lack of a center. 7 Rebounds per game for a 7' 2" player.....

Larry Bird will do everything in his power to trade him before next season. What a difference 40 games make...in February he was touted as the NBA Defensive POY and best center in the NBA... Now he is a dinosaur that will be almost impossible to move.
I always thought Hibbert was extremely overrated. He isn't very talented. He is just tall, long and somewhat coordinated which makes him one of the better centers from a physical standpoint. But, he also plays like he is 6'9 rather than 7'2 most games and that's troubling. I think he is small in terms of basketball smarts and wanting to be dominate. The Bynum signing along with the trade of Granger really messed up the Pacers, especially Hibbert who needs strong leaders for him to play well.
A few nameless individuals on this board who were trying to argue he was in the same league or better than Dwight. I have one word and one popular text phrase... hardly and LMAO. I wonder if Morey was the Pacers' GM, would he send him the D-League in the middle of the playoffs. Speaking of which, may be he was onto something. Dork Elvis.
The Heat made him famous. He wasn't that good to begin with offensively (scrub actually). His defense was great. Now it sucks too so he's a certified scrub.
He should just have mauled the guilty player one time, let all that anger out, then leave his wife. Then back to playing, ask for a trade, whatever.
