His victim, Dwight Howard, was seen walking slowly like a penguin towards his locker room after getting "worked" for nearly 3 hours by the Pacers center... Hibbert Tonight: 26 points, 8 rebounds, 4 blocks, 3 assists, 10-19 FG shooting and 6-9 FT shooting. Just to talk about Hibbert a bit...He has had his share of good games this season. 21/7/4/3 blk 25/13/2/1 blk 20/7/3/6 blk 20/9/0/3 blk 16/7/1/1 blk 17/6/2 That's all within the past month. He also had a stretch of 7 games in November where he was quite beastly.
I agree the thread title is very objectionable. Mods, please change it. OP, you should never do that again. Not funny at all.
I apologize, IT won't happen again. I wasn't original to be honest with you either, I saw it on another site and I was laughing, I just thought I should have shared with you guys.
D. Howard: 11/15/2 blks I'm sorry to say, but Howard better develop some type of shot soon (jump, hook or whatever else). Otherwise, his NBA tenure will end with his athleticism.
Tim Legler really let Dwight Howard have it last night. He was talking about how Howard already has the superstar contract and his face is on the cover of video games and magazines, so he has no incentive to improve his game - which he hasn't since he entered the league. He has no post moves at all, which might not be such a big deal if he wasn't such a horrendous free throw shooter. But he is. Which means they have no inside game late in games. p.s. Has anybody else noticed the similarity between the current Orlando Magic and the Seattle Sonics teams of the 90's? Dwight Howard = Shawn Kemp (except Shawn Kemp at least had a jumper). Rashard Lewis = an overpaid Detlef Shrempf. Then you have numerous people who can come in and kill you with three point shots like McMillan, Perkins, Eddie Johnson, etc. Maybe they'd be a better team if they had somebody who could play like the Glove. They don't.
This is not quite true, his defense was awful when he first entered the league and now he is the DPOY. On offense, this comment is not far off the mark, and at this point in his career 5 years in I don't think he can just magically learn those smooth post moves or how to shoot FT's. Alonzo Mourning is not a bad comparison actually.
Some guys just don't have it... You could do a million Hakeem workouts with Dwight and he would still be a big stiff on the offensive end... At some point, you are what you are...
Alonzo Mourning is a terrible comparison, no where near as athletic although he was athletic, its just that Dwight is off the charts, and Alonzo could shoot a fifteen footer
Fair enough, though I was actually referring to his offensive game. But you're right. I didn't give credit where it is due. His defensive impact is impressive.
Lol yeah true that. I just can't seem to visualize Dwight successfully doing a finesse move consistently...
